There's this story about a foreigner being surpriced to see Christian X, Margrethe's grand father, on his morning ride through Copenhagen, during the Nazi occupation. "Who's protecting him" he asked. "We are!" said the Dane next to him.

Next video on "What are you doing in Denmark", could be 30 year old woman, with the KZbin channel name, ASAADA. She only started her channel a few months ago. She's a black woman, living in Copenhagen, with her Swedish husband. They've lived here for less than a year.

I think the scandal of Herlufsholm was worse. Most Danes don’t really care as much about the Spanish situation

Yep. I was prepared to give up being a monarcist if their children was to be turned in to English Posh School Prats. I don't think he had sex with that women, but if he had it's a case between him and Mary, and means zero for his job performance.

That's because there was no scandal in Spain.

The Greek royal family is of danish origin, and due to the inherent instability of Greece it was decided that they would retain the titles prince or princess of Denmark along with their Greek titles, so Elizabeths husband Phillip was born a prince of Greece and Denmark, and you can see on his coat of arms, and the standard, he had the castle for Edinburgh, the Greek cross, the black and white pales of Battenberg (Mountbatten), and the 3 blue lions on yellow of Denmark. They were also issued danish diplomatic passports, just recently they were able to reclaim their Greek citizenship. When Greece was first reestablished, the great powers wanted it to be a monarchy, but the new king had to come from somewhere acceptable to all the great powers, which severely limited the choices, first they chose Otto of Bavaria, but he was immensely unpopular in Greece and was deposed, so they tried the younger danish prince William, who adopted the name George in Greece, he secured britain returned the ionian islands to Greece and quickly became quite popular, his reception in Greece was actually so great, that literally even the palaca staff abandoned their jobs, just to cheer him on upon arrival so he ended up going to bed hungry that day, because no food was available.

Conrad: The Royal Yacht are full of soldiers, so saying they do not have any security, is not the first thing I would say.

I wouldn’t say “full” but one friendly guard at the entrance 😅

@@ConradMolden The crew on the yacht are all soldiers, conscripts and volunteers. The Royal Ship Dannebrog has a full crew consisting of nine officers, seven sergeants, two constables and 36-39 conscripts. Yes, it is nice to not to see the black suits running around.

the Queen of Denmark and Queen Elisabeth was never close they only meet a few times , Queen Elisabeth visited Denmark in 1957 and 1979 that was the only 2 times during her 71 year reign ,the name calling and respect was about being polite, there have even being talk about the Children should do something to get a better relationship as the British and Danish monarchy haven't have much to do with each other, when ever there was an important even in Denmark either Elisabeth send Charles or nobody came , the Danish monarch are close to the Swedish and Norwegian monarch and the former monarch of Greece, and Frederik is close to the Dutch monarch , Margrethe have never been she even said that
@vrenak4 күн бұрын
Those were just the official visits, Margrethe would usually drop by for tea when she did her christmas shopping in London, and they did talk and write to eachother privately. But the british royals do have a tendency to keep to themselves, whereas the other kingdoms and Luxembourg, do try and socialise and keep in touch privately a lot more.
@veronicajensen76904 күн бұрын
@@vrenak I have never heard of such private visits, all I head about is when Magrethe lived in London when she was young she did visit , the official visits is actually when you send a signal to the world on what you view as important , I remember reading in the Danish media some years ago that Frederik and Mary would work on getting a more close relationship with the younger generation of the British monarchy than what have been the case up til now, that has however not happened
@ane-louisestampe79394 күн бұрын
Margrethe saw Lizzie every year, when she was in London doing her Christmas shopping. The number of state visits says nothing about the family's connections. Margrethe has only made to state visits to Sweden, 1973 and 1985, and Norway only in 1973 and 1992.
@vrenak3 күн бұрын
@@veronicajensen7690 These private visits have never been secret, Margrethe even mentioned them from time to time, but since they're just private visits, she never went into great detail. Same for their phone talks and private correspondence. Keep in mind Elizabeth would have very few people outside her family to talk to about her private matters, and inner thoughts, literally just Margrethe and Beatrix.

Very rude to call Queen Elizabeth for Lizzie. Show some respect - no-one ever called her anything as tacky as Lizzie.
@louiseerbslisbjerg78543 күн бұрын
That's what she was call by the major7ty of the public and knowing UK nationals, they said it with love. In the family it was Lillibeth, to everyone else it was Lissie.
