That 335 sounds amazing . Graphite on the nut might help tuning

Great channel and always such a good insight. Not enough players like yourself doing this kind of thing! Your jamiroquai stuff is amazing and all the other stuff sounds wicked. Dan Huff was in a band called Giant. Would you believe he also produced Megadeths 97 album Cryptic Writings. One of their best sounding records - esp the drums!

Hey Rob, Do you ever use your hx effects equivalents of your pedals like the DC-2w or one of your drives? If so, how? Thank you.

Thanks for the videos Rob, they're always great - I'm trying to pick up a few funky tendencies and I find listening to your thoughts and noodles help a lot. For keeping the ES in tune, you could look into a "String Butler" that helps with the angle behind the nut, supposedly fixes a lot of the Gibson tuning issues. I've been lucky that my SG is rock solid (set up by a local tech) but also heard great things about the string butlers, if you don't mind the looks.

tip for the bridge : use a locking bridge. Stop tail is also available as a locking version for 335 types. I still use the Original Gibson Stop tail, usually they are ok. Another thing could be the saddle, check if each string has enough space there to run smoothly in the saddle notch. - or use Graph Tech TUSQ saddle. The G sting has always a problem with steel stiffness, this is usually not avoidable, but a very small problem in comparison. Each guitar is a unique animal, and some characteristics can not be completely optimized. Live with it.

I had a similar experience as a young man with my own project and a much older supposedly wiser producer. Those type of so-called, 'producers' are proper nuts, either that or extremely clever blokes with daily rates agreed and were expertly eking it out at the expense of poor musicians... absolutely crazy times, thankfully those days are no more!
