Robin Cousins (GBR) - 1980 Worlds, Men's Long Program

Dortmund, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY - 1980 World Figure Skating Championships, Men's Long Program - Robin Cousins of Great Britain had a stronger skate here than at Lake Placid, and despite earning three 6.0s for Artistic Impression, his lower placement in the Compulsory Figures prevented him from being able to win the World Title. Instead, he had to settle for a close Silver Medal here.

He was magical, it's strange that you can remember the music and skating from most of the skating from the golden days up until 2010 ,then skating changed with that terrible 2014 results that changed skating forever . and you could name the skaters just like that, now you could name 1 or 2

That's actually not true. I am a great fan of Robin but if figures had been dropped in 1976 Robin would not have won everything from '77 to '80. In '77 he placed 2nd in both the short & long at Europeans to Jan Hoffmann so he would have got the silver there. Likewise at '77 Worlds he had to retire 2 minutes into the long programme due to his knee so he would not have won any medal there.

I believe it is Belle de jour - dragons of midnight. You can find just the music he used from this fabulous long program of 1980 on You Tube by searching Gattokiller's videos of various skater's music. Hope this helps!
