A baby Robin fell out of its nest and so I put it on the ledge behind me at work, but the parents were scared to feed it so close to me, and he went to sleep and never woke up. I never realized how constantly baby birds need to always have food.
@WBUBarrie3 жыл бұрын
Oh dear, what a sad outcome :( Yes they need a lot of food and to be fed often. Sorry to hear about your bird loss.

Better title: Greedy robin attempts world record for single-beak mealworm carry. Looks like 14 or so - check out 2:09 ... pickup 3, drop 2, pickup 2, drop 1, pickup 3, drop 2, pickup 3 drop 1, repeat ad nauseum. Prolly had a nest of hungry hatchings nearby, and was trying to save trips. 😋

@@WBUBarrie Apparently, lots of people with chickens, birds, pet reptiles, or livecam bird feeders, raise them. I stumbled across it back when I briefly considered raising quail. A surprising number of people throughout asia even dry roast and eat them. Anyway, there's lots of DiY vids about it, and they're surprisingly clean and inexpensive to grow. Just saying. Cheers. 😄
