I think Robin was a better soloist than Barry but all 3 were best together, Robin just wasn't given enough of a chance to shine. I've seen an older version of Robin singing this song alone and it is soul stirring, sung with precision and feeling. This live version was a bit ramped up and pushed along for the occasion.

R.I.P Robin, Always sang love in a magical way! To be honest, I never really believed in "Love Stories", I always thought it was a vocabulary full of illusions, which would always be subject to great disappointment, until a beautiful day ............. .....I found my happiness in a magical way !!! It was early spring and we were both walking down the same street, coming back after a long day at work, me going to university and she to high school, we crossed paths and our eyes. I felt something very strong (bigger than myself), a few meters ahead I came back and talked to her and I was sure that she felt the same (pure magic of destiny). We dated, we got married, we had kids, kids got married and we are together after more than thirty years.Our feelings were correct, that connection of looks was true love, strong enough to last a lifetime. I would make the same choice thousands of times in thousands of other lives! True love is a great and wonderful miracle !!!

Robin's voice and harmonies are what made the Bee Gees... Barry likely would have made a great solo singer, but without Robin, the Bee Gee's sound just wouldn't be there. Sadly, Robin just didn't have it as a solo singer in this song.

Although I am a big Robin Gibb fan, I find this performance rather disappointing. This could be anyone. I miss the Robin Gibb touch that made Massachusetts, Saved by the bell, One million years so outstanding special. If he would sing this song not so fast, it would be much better
