Totally stumbled on this video via KZbin algorithm. Ms. Macy (even as an adult I feel odd calling her Robin 😂) was my teacher in Dallas, TX. Then in high school I was her “Sherpa” for the outdoor program there. It was such a privilege to know her and learn from her back then! She said no one wants to be remembered for what they did in the past. But people watching this should know what an amazing, positive influence she was as a teacher!! I am happy to see her finding joy. I hope that even though I am seeing this 11 years after the video posted, the joy has persisted!! 🙏

Robin was my 5th-grade teacher in Dallas, Tx. She encouraged all of us to be creative and follow our spirit. Lessons still close to me after all these years. Every year she would read out loud to the class "Where the Red Fern Grows". And would always cry at the end -never able to finish the book. :) Very touching.

I was also privileged to have had Miss Macy as my math teacher at St. Mark’s School of Texas back in the early 90s. Wonderful teacher, and beloved of her students, she also introduced us to the beauty of bluegrass in the form of the Dixie Chicks in their original form. I hated math, but I always loved her and her music!

Loved the Dixie Chick when Robin and Laura sang lead. Favorite Robin songs; Fox on the Run and Thunderhead. Favorite Laura songs; Two of a Kind and Desire.

Wow! It was by mere chance I landed on this video - having "fat-fingered" a search on KZbin. I am so glad I did. Even though Robin and I were friends for only a couple of years - her influence on me was profound. Robin has to be one of the most intelligent, creative and driven women I have ever met. Her keen sense of what is special, unique and good in the world is unparalleled. A teacher, songwriter, actor, singer, musician, marketing maven - Robin is truly a genius! Cheers!

I saw her perform many times. Always lovely, but never so much as now. What a beautiful place to live.

I have her recent album "Songs from the Garden" (which has the song used in the video) It is very impressive, really good music, just excellent. I can't recommend it highly enough. She also also has an album called "Ride Again" in her Cherokee Maidens role, and it too is totally excellent. Highly recommended. Thanks Robin for the fine songs, thanks to and the other musicians, and thanks to Sierra Scott for this inspiring, beautiful video.

Hello, I *just* came across the song 'Simplify' on Spotify from the album you've mentioned, the one that's playing in this video. It was quite by accident (I think I had searched for peaceful music, or something along those lines) I instantly fell in love with it. I'm going to check out the other songs from this album, and the other one that you've mentioned. I hope I love them as much as I love this one
