Sad and tragic. Laura had the voice of an angel, truly. And an interesting life journey. Here's to her life and the blaze of glory that is her soul. May she continue to shine, inspire, and invite in wondrous ways. 🙏🏼💖🌟

Here's to THE FOUNDING MEMBER of the Dixie Chicks. This woman never got the recognition she deserved for a voice as sweet as heaven. Little ol cowgirl is still to this day one of my favorite albums!! Every song is different, and her voice is strong through out. Rest in peace beautiful lady, heaven is enjoying your beautiful voice now.

@@cchikkybabe They're honestly one of the most overrated bands ever, at least with Maines in the group. They've become a bunch of cringey edgelords like Maren Morris. They can't tell us enough how they're not a country band and that country music sucks, even though it's what made them famous. They're also a bunch of cowards who go where the political winds lead them, hence why they dropped Dixie from their name. They were perfectly fine being called the Dixie Chicks for 30 years. Hmm, what changed?

I have to say I am LOVING her voice and her bass playing and hating the fact that she has passed away. There was something that I was hearing that I had to go back on, and it starts at 1:14 but the note is at 1:16 - she slides right into a deep bass register with "yeah" and it;s wonderfully perfect. Her whole performance is perfect. Love the way she looks at the fingerboard before the half step climb, whole new perspective on DC. In fact listen to the beautiful passage at 1:16 on and how she so purely sings the 2 words "guitar" and "song".. Goose bumps.

This is a special example of all the band members knowing while they are playing that they are doing something very special. I know that feeling, and it is so powerful. And they have it locked in for the entire song. Also, the list of female lead vocalists who play stand up bass, especially like she does is very very short.

Wow, this is very breath-taking. I always overlooked the Dixie Chicks, because I thought they were just Spice Girls who play instruments too. What a prick I was. This band existed way before the spice and had a bassist too, Laura Lynch. A bassist I didn't know existed until her death. The video says she stopped being part of the Dixie Chicks at some point, so, even if young me was willing to listen to them, I couldn't learn about her anyway. And she had an electric double bass too! I always thought bassists were reluctant to using them (I mean, Jeanette Williams never used it until recently), yet Laura is able to make hers sound fine.

Beautiful music, indeed. I don’t think I ever knew there were four chicks. I’ve always loved Natalie’s voice but I thoroughly enjoyed the lead here and the blend of all players and singers. The ‘90s were my avid country dance days, so I remember when the Chicks went from unknown to being absolutely huge in my part of the world. Regardless of any politics, art is art and democracy means being open to healthy dissent. Art is a good way to express it, so I’ve stayed a fan throughout. Proud eternal Chicks fan. 🇨🇦
