for me he and Ritchie Blackmore (both play the Fender Stratocaster CBS era with the bullet on the headstock) the big headstock give you more ressonance , Robin said on the Guitar Rig Rundown interview and Ritchie play this model scalloped not at all just for the high strings for more sustain and grip for him.

There's no doubt that James Dewar made this song gold and it will never be the same without him behind the microphone. That said, this man did a highly respectable job on the vocals and with his own interpretive flavor. Nicely done.

Of all the music I have heard Robin Trower's explorations of "Daydream" rank at the very top of my chart. This version has the most interesting variations, in the long concluding solo, of any of the live versions since the Stockholm '76 gold standard. I'm in awe that the power is still there at his age.

hehe, actually that was my 'old' rx100 m6. lol, yeah, i bought the m6 earlier this year and then the m7 just came out with a better CPU (think moore's law) and way better 4K video capabilities (any length) that i had to get to bring my channel into the 4K world. so, i just used that 3 times starting with mark knopfler. but yeah, i does take amazing video, doesn't it?! the m7, i think is better and better audio!

True story. Went to a gig he did in Tempe Az. He was the one on the right. He opened the door of his escalade and dented my door. We pulled in together in parking spaces. He asked how could he help. I was stuck In jawdrop mode. Robin fuckin thrower just dented my car door. He wanted to help.me. I just asked him him to play daydream cuz he didn't play it at the time.

Just once I would love to hear this ultra classic tune the way it was delivered on the 1975 live album. That is the definitive version of Daydream, even after all these years. All other versions pale in comparison.
