Robbins usually are passive except when defending their babies ,I have seen them fiercely dive bomb on anything near their nest. Blue Jays are bullys , but they also protect other birds by sounding an alert to danger . Doves are near and dear to my heart their peaceful cooing song in the morning makes all that is wrong in world right for me. Loved the video you're the best Thank you.😄 for sharing

At least birds have enough sense to stick together; nowadays people are more concerned about the breed of their dogs than their own children!

Interesting natural contest over water rights. I currently have a large flock of Blue Jays working the feeders by the dozens, and flocks of Robins on their annual early fall denuding campaign of my mountain ash trees . . . both species coexisting in large numbers every day with no apparent territory conflicts. By the way, I am surprised year after year with the numbers of Northern Flickers mixing with the robins & waxwings feasting on the ash berries - they do a lot more perching than pecking.

Sounds like a lot of fun at your place. I'm really enjoying the natural forest bird bath cameras as they offers insight in how birds relate without people around. BB

I have noticed at my feeders that the birds with the longest beaks rule the roost and eat first and drink and bathe first. I have wondered if that is why jays and others have developed a crest. It makes the beak look that much longer. And is that what they mean by pecking order? 😊
