There's plenty of interesting locomotives! There's the camel back, which is a steam loco with its cab in the middle, and the fire box at the back. Then there's the coffee pot, which has a vertical boiler. Oh, and there's the rotory snowplow, which is a freight car with a cab, and a giant blade on the front, and it's really good at clearing snow! And if none of those fit your layout, then there's one which might fit well, it's the GT3, which is a gas turbine locomotive, and although it looks like a steam locomotive, it's actually a diesel! I hope that this gives you at least a little inspiration.
@RobinHoodBricks3 жыл бұрын

nice job. liked it in part one but turned out better than I thought. when you said there was a second obstacle, I thought maybe the girls paid the ultimate price for skipping class. seriously if you make plans available I suspect you'd sell a few. if you run it with the other passenger trains, might be interesting to train cam one of the others. might be neat to see it bearing down on a train [or catching up to that propeller -scary]

Fantastic build Robin. It really does look like the zeppelin train. I love the red accent design you used, it really pops against the white and grey. The large propeller does look better but the one you cut down looks good to. Maybe when you go back through the city you could reconstruct you tunnels and such to accommodate larger trains. It would be a ton of work but more content for your fantastic channel. Excellent job though, if I had one thing to change would be the slope pieces next to the IR receiver. There's probably not an alternative part to make it more streamlined in that section. What else would be cool is one of those large artillery rail cannons used in WW2. Fantastic video my friend. Wish I could of caught the premier to chat with you. Do you have plans for a Robin designed crocodile like locomotive?
@RobinHoodBricks3 жыл бұрын
No more locomotives for a while, haha. A Schwerer Gustav might be fun but it would be vast and definitely not fit down my tunnels. To be fair all my station platforms, train shed, all monorail supports and all corners would need amending if any train was any wider so I may stick with the constraints. It might even hit the cargo train on the back straight where the tracks are only 4 studs apart!
@buddylee69963 жыл бұрын
Yeah probably would be a good idea to stick to what works then.. ha ha. That would be a ton of work to redo for sure. Plus then you'd have to space the track out even further.. yeah It's fantastic as it is. 👍👍

2 things that might help it look real is use the second biggest in propeller? Or the cut propeller and maybe i know how wireing is but maybe try to move the receiver more back to the motor because it would give the look that their is a motor there but it might be covered up with a black tarp or a openable hatch door aka the receivers color and you could say that people can ask to see the biggg motor when it's on display on the tracks or parked. But in our reality it's just a receiver. XD
