There's plenty of interesting locomotives! There's the camel back, which is a steam loco with its cab in the middle, and the fire box at the back. Then there's the coffee pot, which has a vertical boiler. Oh, and there's the rotory snowplow, which is a freight car with a cab, and a giant blade on the front, and it's really good at clearing snow! And if none of those fit your layout, then there's one which might fit well, it's the GT3, which is a gas turbine locomotive, and although it looks like a steam locomotive, it's actually a diesel! I hope that this gives you at least a little inspiration.

@@RobinHoodBricks The problem here in Austria at least is, that we don't really have a community for Lego. Here you mostly get it as a child. There are not many advertisements for 18+ sets and these things and we only have 1 Lego store which is in Vienna, a 2 hour drive from where i live. I think if more people saw the 18+ sets more adults would start getting into Lego as a hobby here. Anyway so thankful i stumbled across your channel great content and quality.

Fantastic build Robin. It really does look like the zeppelin train. I love the red accent design you used, it really pops against the white and grey. The large propeller does look better but the one you cut down looks good to. Maybe when you go back through the city you could reconstruct you tunnels and such to accommodate larger trains. It would be a ton of work but more content for your fantastic channel. Excellent job though, if I had one thing to change would be the slope pieces next to the IR receiver. There's probably not an alternative part to make it more streamlined in that section. What else would be cool is one of those large artillery rail cannons used in WW2. Fantastic video my friend. Wish I could of caught the premier to chat with you. Do you have plans for a Robin designed crocodile like locomotive?
@RobinHoodBricks
@RobinHoodBricks 3 жыл бұрын
No more locomotives for a while, haha. A Schwerer Gustav might be fun but it would be vast and definitely not fit down my tunnels. To be fair all my station platforms, train shed, all monorail supports and all corners would need amending if any train was any wider so I may stick with the constraints. It might even hit the cargo train on the back straight where the tracks are only 4 studs apart!
@buddylee6996
@buddylee6996 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah probably would be a good idea to stick to what works then.. ha ha. That would be a ton of work to redo for sure. Plus then you'd have to space the track out even further.. yeah It's fantastic as it is. 👍👍

2 things that might help it look real is use the second biggest in propeller? Or the cut propeller and maybe i know how wireing is but maybe try to move the receiver more back to the motor because it would give the look that their is a motor there but it might be covered up with a black tarp or a openable hatch door aka the receivers color and you could say that people can ask to see the biggg motor when it's on display on the tracks or parked. But in our reality it's just a receiver. XD

little but gutted that the thumbnail shows the completed MOC. But as ever, your imagination wins again.

They need to show the full model for long-term success but I guess a second spoiler free one might be good for premieres only!

Looks great I’m surprised that you didn’t run off 1 motor (not using the regular train motor) So you don’t have to have 2 separate controls (Basically using technic parts) 😁
@RobinHoodBricks

It was my aim to have separate controls so it can spin whilst it's stopped in a station!

Looks brilliant just needs white tiles on the roof and 2 quarter round tiles at the front to finish it. Sorted🤔🤔👍

I tried that and it looked a bit like a Mohican haircut. I think it's better without!

I love the doors (as well as the whole train). I might steal the door design for our Passenger Train- why do they actually have to open, after all?

Amazing amazing, off to copy this right now, can the IR brick be moved back one stud to fit in line with door? My ocd will need to settle that, but otherwise an amazing set piece every lego city never knew it needed. I so wish you added your most popular moc builds to Rebrickable etc. you would be rich beyond words
