I use most often a smaller bag, Lowepro StreamLine 150. I can carry my E-PL8, two small lenses, phone, spare batteries and memory cards, peanuts for birds and squirrels, umbrella and even a small tripod (Manfrotto Pixi).

Looks like a great bag that ticks all the boxes much the same reasons I love my Wandro Sling 6L it’s a little smaller but fits everything I need for a day out on the street.

Hi Robin, I have this Wanton camera Bag only in Khaki color. I have to use a walking stick when out walking around and small, light weight is very important to me. That’s why MFT is so great for me and for others with handicaps. I love your videos and have bought cameras and lens from listening to you. I’ve never been disappointed. Great stuff!!! OMD EM-1mkII fitted/w 12-40II w/hood (lens pointing downward) plus 4.0/40-150 w/hood neatly fits into Pilot 3L. I like the 'soft touch', clean design, magnet FIDLOCK closure, flat pocket at the back (for maps guide book), inside zippered pocket for spare accu, notebooklet, pen, SDs and lenscleaning cloth. Bag can be carried over left or right shoulder, strap length can easily be adjusted; can be combined with backpack without any problem when worn across body. I have used it during day long heavy rains, with no damage done to gear. GPSdevice clipped to the webbing on the side.

Has no one outside the US ever seen a Domke F1 or F2? For literally decades these bags are the go-to bags for professional photographers here. Minimal padding, pockets for days and ample space for any equipment. They are made of waxed canvas for water proofing and have the go anywhere in the world toughness. You have to import one!

Domke have been available in the UK for years, but they have always so expensive for what they are. I use a cheap canvas bag with a seperate divider pouch.

Love my Vanguard Uprise 28 messenger type bag with top zipper opening. It holds camera body with lens (Pentax K3 with Sigma 17-50/2.8 or EM5III with 12-100/4) and two other fairly large lenses (DA*50-135/2.8 size or even Sigma 70-200/2.8 without tripod leg) or lens and 1L bottle of water or several smaller M4/3 lenses or lens and flash. Also knife, wallet, phones and other stuff in front compartment. It also has pocket for smaller 12" notebook or tablet in case its needed. Very durable beast, I have it since 2014.. using it several times a week. Still no damage. And it is rain-safe unless you stay in pouring rain for long time. For large setup I prefer Vanguard Heralder 38. No longer manufactured, but also superb shoulderbag. Large enough for Sigma 50-500 or Sigma 100-300/4. Eight separate compartments for lenses, front large compartment and back pocket for 15-16" notebook. Also side pocket and couple loops on other side to attach other things or hang umbrella, bottle, dog leash etc. I have it even longer than the Uprise and used it a lot. Over those years so far only bottom rubberized treatment is pealing off the nylon fabric in some corners, but rest of bag is still intact. It was my primary one while I was shooting for local weekly and during hundreds of event shootings. Usually carrying full heavy setup. I added one more shoulder strap so I can use them both and wear it like some strange backpack on both shoulders :) That small tablet/notebook looks nice, it reminds me my old 10" Asus EEE1000H I bought back in 2006 to be able to carry it to university and keep it portable. It was able to stay on battery for about 5-6 hours :) Today unfortunately it is done in 10min and once I had to develop some RAWs on it, but that Atom CPU is really too slow to be able to use Lightroom and not get mad. But I had no other option.

Nice one Robin! Glad you got one. I bought the Khaki Wotancraft Pilot 2L in May. I absolutely love it. I use it with either my E-M5 III or PEN-F. Depending on where I'm going or what I need to shoot, I take both with small lenses, or just one with a small lens + a big lens. My 3rd configuration is one camera + small lens + a bottle of water. I have been on 2 trips already with it, and also take it out all the time for my photo walks. Just two details I think would be good to mention, are • The buckle is magnetic and very secure, since it does not slide downwards but sideways, and because of that, the quick release to shoot is very comfortable as well. • The strips on the front (in mine, they're on the side) are for add-ons that Wotancraft sells which are really great. You can have dedicated puches for example for filters or batteries if you need extra space (like when you have a smaller one like mine), but you can leave them at home saving space and weight if you don't need them. They are a bit on the pricey side, but if you can afford them, they're very handy and smart.

Hi Robin, I understand that you introduced this bag. It's not a bad camera bag, but I prefer the bag to open towards the wearer rather than outwards. For example, if you look at the pictures of the Vanguard VEO Range 32M, you can see that the main storage section opens towards the wearer. The benefits of which you experience in use.

I actually purchased the WotanCraft Sling Pouch 3.5L for EDC (when not taking my Olympus gear) a few weeks ago. Really impressed with it! Last night my better half and I watched the video review from @mattisulanto, and also the clip with @ForsgardPeter showing their Pilot 7L bags, and I've now ordered a WotanCraft Pilot 7L for myself and also one for my wife. I commented to my wife last night that I wouldn't be surprised if you had also received one, Robin. I had a feeling that this review was imminent, and got the notification this morning! Enjoy!

I still haven't found a camera bag I like but this is a very sharp looking bag for mirrorless. I currently have a Brevite jumper as my regular edc and I've had bags from Lowepro and Boundary Supply. My absolute favorite "camera bag" was a Mystery Ranch daybag with a cheap camera insert I got off Amazon. I LOOOOVED that bag! Loved it so much that the bottom canvas was practically destroyed from years of daily use. Used it for small dayhikes, street photography, the gym, work. Unfortunately they discontinued the model and I went with the Brevite. The Brevite is fine but the inserts don't support the gear very well and I'm not in love with the look and feel of it. I still have the camera insert I use for hiking with my Ultimate Direction FastPack. That's by far the best bag I've used for backcountry adventures but it's nothing I'd use for the street. I have had my fair share of converting non camera bags to carry gear with just padded inserts! Some of them worked so well, I prefer them over actual dedicated camera bags.

@@robinwong There's something to be said for a backpack designed to be a backpack. They tend to be far more comfortable and don't advertise to the world you have a bunch of expensive gear in your bag.

Hi, I'm debating between 7L and 10L. I've seen lots of KZbin videos showcasing the 7L and how much mirrorless gear can be fit but not so many on the 10L. For the very few videos, they usually use smaller sized mirrorless cameras and lenses for the demo. What gear do you use with the 10L? I have a Sony A7RV with 4 fast primes of 20/1.8G, 24/1.4 GM. 35/1.4 GM and Sigma 85/1.4 DG DN. Do you think I can carry them all comfortably in the 10L or even the 7L. I don't mind stacking two lenses together if the supplied dividers allows.

Thanks for the review! Hmm, I have mixed views on this bag. Styling wise, I'd saying it doesn't look aesthetically pleasing. It look like a cheap bag we used to carry in school as students! The material doesn't look of high quality. But if you want to move around discreetly, this is actually a plus point. It doesn't look like a camera bag screaming "luxury". The inside is, hmmm... not inspiring at all. It's just average... like many other camera bags. It doesn't seem to store a lot of gear. A bit wasteful on the height space if you are going to use smaller cameras and lenses with it. But for bigger lenses, this bag looks like it's a tight squeeze. So a dilemma here. For those who already own other shoulder camera bags, I don't think the Wotancraft 7L is any WOW or worthy of an upgrade. But if your current bags are worn out, and you want to try a new look, you can consider this 7L one. That's my unbiased review from someone who is not paid to advertise, nor intending to own this Wotancraft. :) (By the way, the name of the bag sounds weird. A bit "uncool". Haha)
