also a dumb workaround would be to create an invisible round sphere mesh attached to the bike and mess a bit with the shape when making it drive.

Raytracing a Vector3(0, -5, 0) and having the Y resize itself, so that when it detects something the Velocity of Vector3 will then have to somehow calculate using time and distance traveled you could create a maxTime variable of a sort and have this record when it touched the floor and subtract that value from the Y value you could use the maxTime and the subtraction value as a form of control for how much you want this to move as well. I'm unsure if this totally made sense, but I'd be happy to explain more in-depth or help you write a framework.
