in the newest version if you follow the cheese that the rat is holding then grab the wall it points to, you get a room

Count 3 tiles forward on the right, Push on one of the tiles, it should move, Once it is you get into the room, 5. Yeah, if you memorize what tile it is, Bonus: If you enter the room, get the green rock and then bring it all the way to the maintenance room, Get it into the gem cutter and when its cutted, you should get a OP purple coil, its faster than the red one.

As the title said, there's no badge for shutdown failure, it's just the same as the event which you don't do a shutdown.
