Yep I can name the good stuff on one hand which were friendly to noobs and didn't involve P2W, grinding till your fingers fall off, or be biased to veterans: Catalog Avatar Creator, Piggy, RB Battles Minigames, LiveTopia, Maple Hospital. They also had interesting quests and were not just plain "grind to this level" or "complete these stages" or "find these items".

Fr I was fortunate I wasn't expecting Roblox to go from 0 to 100 with one event, more like going from branded garbage to something like Metaverse Champions, then gradually improving. The Hunt wasn't horrid, nor was it good, it was mediocre. I'm fine with the badges, lobby was cool, item rewards are fine, and having multiple "editions" lets a lot of games be featured. My major problems are: - The Battle Pass. Why include a "gold" edition of each reward locked behind robux? - The game spectrum. Don't get me wrong, I found a ton of new games and veteran event games like Piggy and RB Battles Minigames has been featured yet again, but 90% of the games either SUCK for new players or have really horrid Hunt quests that are biased for experienced players. - Adding to the above, case in point below. 1. Fruit Battlegrounds - No Hunt quest or even directions given - Game is just bootleg Blox Fruits with a bigger map and fruit gambling that has rarer fruit = stronger power logic - Quest ends up being 2 kill streak without dying, but you can't kill any accounts you are friends with (no alts) and you have 0.1% chance of actually winning the badge - By the above part I mean the badge is bugged, even if you do the quest you don't get it more times than not. Turns out there was a Lvl 15 requirement NOBODY bothered to mention to new players, even still it is glitchy - Map is so big like I said, that you can hardly find any people. And if you go into a larger server, 90% of them are high level players who will one shot you as soon as you spawn, camping the spawn and spawnkilling you - Issues are with the quest and the game itself, should NOT have been chosen for the Hunt 2. Simulators (Pet Sim. 99, Collect A Pet!, Muscle Legends, etc.) - Its a simulator, self explanatory - Hunt quests involve grinding to a certain level or stat which is easy for high level or veteran players and unfriendly for new players who are there for the Hunt badge - Games like Muscle Legends let high level players just spawnkill and oneshot new players making the quest grind near impossible, and this is in every server - The quest is boring, not interesting at all and does not involve any fun elements - Examples of fun quests: Piggy, RB Battles Minigames, Livetopia, etc. 3. Tycoons (Restaurant Tycoon 2, Military Tycoon, etc.) - A tycoon, also self explanatory - Hunt quests here involve grinding to build the entire tycoon or finding a certain amount of items in the overall zone - The issue is that these are not like typical tycoons where if you leave you lose your progress, people with experience will automatically have larger restaurants or better guns, etc. and make the experience hellish for new players - Case in point: Restaurant Tycoon 2. You can save and load restaurants and the quest was serving 100 customers, people who are veterans can easily finish that, whereas new players cannot. The quest is clearly biased and not fun in any way. - Another one is Military Tycoon and the second Military Tycoon-based game, both involve finding crates in a large city littered with high level players who have guns and deadly aircraft/land vehicles, while you have a pistol and a dune buggy with no roof or windows, or even on foot. Completely unfriendly and does not make sense to add as a quest. Stuff like RB Battles Minigames was good bec anyone can play the minigames, only cosmetics will be affected by level or experience, the gameplay depends on skill and luck. Piggy was also good bec anyone can learn the basics quickly, avoid the NPC bot, collect keys and code stuff, work with players, etc. LiveTopia and other RP games like Maple Hospital were also good, interesting quests that take a little time and effort, but since it's a RP game, anyone can spawn vehicles, gears, etc. and all places are equally accessible. Catalog Avatar Creator had my favorite Hunt quest by far, the 4-way team battle that mimics Doomspire Brickbattle but with Deathmatch and CtF gamemodes, and a throwback to classic Roblox stuff like the Overseer and Redcliff clans. Also it is fun, involves winning once which is a 1/4 chance, and every team has equal chance. Equal # of players on each team, same gear types (melee weapon, ranged bow, magic staff), etc.

Whilst it’s certainly nice to see this coming out, I’d approach it with cautious optimism. From what I can interpret from the comments of the video, a lot of people are expressing that “this is the start of the new Roblox renaissance”, without taking much consideration of other factors, such as potential influences in the corporate functionality of the company itself, new staff, new approaches to running Roblox, etc. So approach this with enthusiasm, but make sure to look behind the curtains every now and again.

I don't play Roblox anymore, and played the old roblox egg hunts when I was a kid. I lost interest as roblox became more corpo, then I got a DM from my friend (we met in 2012 roblox) telling me about this video. This egg hunt seems promising and genuinely interested in it, I saw a commando which surprised me as roblox tends to avoid re-texturing expensive hats for prizes. So honestly, W roblox for once. Seems my hope has answered. I wasn’t wrong to still have hope! Only thing I noticed that I don’t like is in the bloxy news tweet on the second paragraph it says “users can purchase exclusive items”. This reminds me of sponsored events where some items costed robux at around 90 - 150x which isn’t something I like (I like my content entirely free especially with items) and it also doesn’t help with the korblox deathwalker but I think Roblox may be right to say that it isn’t pay 2 win as long as these exclusive items aren’t required for a full completion or can be obtained in the game very late on. Overall, my hope has 100% been earned for me with this!

Okay so the first batch of "The Hunt" avatar items are here and there are 10 (5 blue ones and 5 gold ones). In the official hunt page, it states there are 5 items in the free track and 5 paid items in the gold track. Now, some people may be scared that the commando isn't coming, however, it is in the official hunt page image and is most likely going to be a "if you collect all 90 badges" avatar item (just my opinion).

I liked Egg Hunt 2020 a lot, and wow this is just terrible. A lot of the games are just “walk around map, find item, get badge”

They need to go back to the style of making actual egg hunt games like 2018 and 2017. Egg hunt quests like 2020 and the current one are literal chores and don't have anything of actual substance. The new one is especially bad, since it seems they didn't even bother to check the places they were putting the eggs in. Catalog Avatar Creator and pls donate are not even games, and a majority of the list is just simulators or tycoons. Not to mention the possibly worst part: the fact that HALF of the quest rewards are locked behind a 800 robux paywall. They also use that scummy marketing tactic of putting a fake price reduction of "2635 robux to 800", as if it is ever going to be anything but 800 robux. It also has a Walmart brand sponsorship and an additional item locked behind 36,000 robux or 450 dollars, since they aren't even hiding that they are just using this event to milk as much money as possible.
