Great André! :( I know this is not Andrés original song but the way he sung it made a huge impact on me, that's why I chose this song as a tribute. (ofc Kate Bush is amazing as well but I wanna focus on André for now). He had such perfect balance between falsetto and full voice. It took me a while to get even close to what he is doing and I have been singing for 20 years. Hopefully I did this cover justice, in either way I think it turned out well. I have also covered Carry On and Fairytale and will be making more tributes from the Angra Matos era and his other bands as time goes on for sure. I did not know him personally but his genius thru music and singing very much shaped my own voice and KZbin journey. So many Brazilian fans have pushed me and cheered me on for many years. I am very thankful to André, Angra and You All for rocking together. Life is a wonder and I'm just getting started. If my road ends tomorrow I will be happy I did what I did. But I have no plans to ever stop. So whatever happens, life and death, we will honor it as a part of the great world and universe which we are in because we are IT. Rock on everybody and Rest in Peace André, your life brought so much joy and inspiration to many and helped shape us... now Rest... in Peace

Parabéns! Tenho imenso, brutal orgulho de ser Brasileira e, por termos tido, em nosso currículo, em nossa história, um músico como o André Matos. Ele não foi só um cantor, pianista, multiinstrumentista. Ele era um profundo conhecedor de música. Cantava com maestria em agudos inacreditáveis. Para mim, foi injustiçado, pois beirava a perfeição. Deveria ter sido o escolhido para substituir Bruce Dickinson, no Iron Maiden, independente de ter sido válido ou não o concurso. O próprio, não lembro o nome agora, confessou que o André tinha muito mais o perfil do Iron, enfim. Foi cedo demais. Tinha muito a contribuir c a música MUNDIAL ainda. Deixou um legado incrível, reconhecido como um dos maiores cantores de rock do mundo inteiro. Saudades eternas André Matos. I have listened to about every cover I could find of this song, and something was always a miss, because it didnt touch my soul the way I knew it could, and I've kept on looking for the one that blasts me, until I have found this. It is true Andre is incredible and got his own unique qualities, but from my point of view ( or shall I say my point of ears) this version is unbeatable! I don't believe I could find something more exact to what I feel for this song (and story) it has everything: It is Tender, powerful and so well delivered, the right "feel" and a stunning, versatile voice with a lot of soul in it. One of the best voices I have ever heard! In fact, I don't think I can put into words how this song hit me! I'm a very exact person in music and know exactly what I want to hear, and feel. This is flawless! ~ long sigh ~ p.s. it doesn't say which country you're from, or did I miss it?

Thanks for this tribute and your kind words, Rob! You are an amazing singer! Andre was and always will be our national pride! His passing away was so premature and devastating for all heavy metal fans. I am still healing from this lost... If wasn't for him, many musicians would have not even started to study music. He used to encourage young talents to believe in their wishes and dreams. He achieved a level that no one had ever done before. His contribution to the heavy metal in Brazil is measureless.
