In the original Robo Rally, when one would get killed, they would respawn at thei starting space, until they made it to check point #1 Then if they respawn, they would respond at check point 1, until they made it to check point #2. Then finally, respawn would take place at check point #2, until they made it to checkpoint #3, which would then end the game. Each character has their own square punch board piece which is placed on their starting space and then moves to the next checkpoint when it has been achieved.

There are some other expansions that look better: Chaos & Carnage, Wet & Wild. I played it recently. Lots of fun.

@23:41 you move a 'move 3' through a wall ! on same space as 'respawn token'. FYI it's blue conveyor belts then green conveyor belts. So 2 of players should had moved 3 belt spaces, not 2 spaces.

You are right about the wall. I could be wrong, since I only play the old version of the game, but I don't think players ever moves 3 belt spaces. Following is from the ULTIMATE COLLECTION RULEBOOK (.pdf): "BOARD ELEMENTS MOVE: During this step, board elements move in the following order. 1. EXPRESS CONVEYOR BELTS: Simultaneously move all robots on an express conveyor belt 1 square in the direction indicated by the arrows on the express conveyor belt. 2. ALL CONVEYOR BELTS: Simultaneously move all robots on a conveyor belt or an express convey belt 1 square in the direction indicated by the arrows on the conveyor belt. (This means that robots on express conveyor belts will be moved by the belt twice during the Board Elements Move step.)"

Just started watching this playthrough, but this is the first time I've seen this iteration of the original game. I own a copy of the Wizards of the Coast original. Wow, those boards are much smaller and less interesting than the original! Also, the priority system is much less inherently chaotic than my copy (each movement card has a 3-figure priority number, and all players draw from the same big deck). I'm not sure I like those revisions, but we'll see if the expansion improves things back towards the original. Oh dear, the new damage mechanic. In the original, damage reduced the number of movement cards you were dealt, eventually locking in place programmed cards, leading to more chaos via forced selections in your program instead of unused movement phases.

Pleased to see the base game has the original board size. Have to think if I want the current version of this as a lighter-play version to the venerable Richard Garfield classic.
