Though it is level 4 autonomy, it primarily works only within the well mapped, tested and geofenced areas. But Tesla can auto-steer, auto-brake, auto-accelerate at any location/city/state. Just FYI.

​@@SatyanGnanam It pretty much does so without accidents in most cases. Drivers are still responsible as the technology can still make the worst decision at the wrong time. "With Tesla autopilot there is one crash for every 4.85 million miles driven. For drivers who were not using Autopilot technology, they recorded one crash for every 1.40 million miles driven. " Statistically you can see the accidents caused by autopilot is much much less than caused by not using it.

@praveenrajuthamarajan yes, so comparing waymo with tesla and making it sound like tesla is better than waymo is not correct. Autopilot is not FSD, many car companies do autopilot.

@@SatyanGnanam IMHO Tesla is better than waymo is many ways. Waymo maybe better than Tesla in some ways and I don't disagree with that nor that I'm against Waymo in anyway. The definition of autopilot differs from company to company. Tesla's Autopilot in this context is FSD. Tesla has AP, EAP, FSD - comparing AP with Waymo doesn't make sense.

I have a doubt... The car is moving through cameras and sensors, then why should the wiper get on. There is no problem if it is not working too right. It is okay as long as camera and sensor is clear without any water log or block

You are right. I was used to having tesla turn on vipers during rain when it drives on autopilot. So in this case, wipers may not be needed. In fact the whole front windshield glass can be converted to a giant TV screen 📺
