You should have added a clip before 0:19 which explains what the cops are doing, by the movies own word of course "I am going to investigate xyz" and THEN showed the clip when Murphy get brutally murdered. Also, this is something you will have to balance, when doing these trailers (if you really want to be realistic) make them with the intention that this is something completely new and no one in the whole world (at the time of this trailer airing) know anything about Robocop. Therefore your trailer must be more informative. BUT, as said, this is a balancing task, making them informative will probably make them less entertaining because we DO actually know everything about the subject (in this case Robocop).

Awesome movie and my favorite movie. I saw it in theaters 35 years ago at age five with my 11 year old brother and 15 year old brother and parents when we lived in St. Louis and it rocked. It looks and sounds fantastic on ultrahd 4k and happy 35th anniversary to a masterpiece

As a 30 year RoboCop I am obsessed with this. Love the slow down at the end with the "Lost paradise" music and he asked him his his name he didn't answer. Let the viewer say what's already understood. Great job man. This should be at 1 million.

Ok, now Im officially shocked and this is really strange and distrubing ;) So a few months ago Iv did this trailer for a new game Robocop: RC. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJnbZ5p4q7yEd9k Not my best work but you're work with what's you got... And my first draft edit was with the same music you used here... We've changed it eventually but for a moment we had the same music for the same franchise... And today Im for the first time in your channel... For obvious reasons I cant show you any proof of that but, yeah... its strange... ;) Nevertheless great work here because Im truly believe that it is really hard to show so old (but classic of course) movie with so modern vibe. It much easier to show great movies like Matrix, or Saving Private Ryan because cinematography and all VFX work there is timeless (Oscars and so many awards prove it ;) but movies like that (The Thing, or Starship Troopers) - in this trailers you showed your best skills. I hope yours day job is editing because I know many people in film industry that have half of your skills.

So now Im really confused. You don't work as a film/ commercial editor of any kind? Seriously? Why? I mean if you dont want to do this for living its "ok" but otherwise you really have to change that as fast as you can :D It wasnt my original intension to tell you how good you are but man - your HEAT trailer is really good, Alien also! Maybe I have some comments to T2 and Matrix trailers but overall its really solid work. I did some games trailers, some Polish movies trailers, music clips and commercial (its not my main job, maybe it was in some moment of my career) - Im mostly work as a VFX supervisor now) but you really should think about... ;) because I really see all of your hard and great work. That you always have a really subtle idea for a story, always think viewers are intelligent so youre never show any obvious plots of the movie, that you really use only best looking shots that serve the story, your interpretation of the true meaning of the scenes is excellent and in a way your telling different story but at the same time youre loyal to original plot. Your work with sound mixing and music score is pretty well. Not perfect, some times like in Matrix trailer I really think mixing original score would be better idea (because the soundtrack is great so it shows the audiance another great thing about the movie - for example trailers of the new Diune/ Oppenheimer - always use music from the film not something from some stock music staff) so it also "show" another thing about the production value. I really understand that it not always the best way but think about it;) SFX also many times works in your work, just always remember that sound, music and video can be use differently, work together at the same time and its really powerfull tools to show the story. And I see that for example in HEAT trailer - VO tells in a way something different what we see on the screen but at the same time work together pretty well so youre getting there. So yeah, Im not any Walter Murch but Im really SEE youre work, I know how hard it is and the quality of your work sie very high. So send your work to any editing, trailer-ish company and try to prove them that there is a great potential in you. Maybe make some trailer of a new movie - some producers like to think that they know everyhing (they dont;) and maybe they will think that you can only work with older and "great" movies. Prove them wrong and do better trailer then MAD MAX FURY ROAD had - I know its hard - but hey, again - they used music from the movie :) So, sorry if any way this respond were offended to you or that I wanna brag about something (I have nothing to) - I just wanna, as a fellow editor, tell you that youre good ;) Cheers and good luck!!@@MichaelEdwards_Edits

I randomly uploaded my Robocop trailer some years ago and got good feedback, and I've just been doing a trailer here and there ever since in my spare time. I have recently, however, had serious thoughts about it but just never believed I was good enough or that I would need qualifications in it to even think about pursuing a career in editing. I genuinely love feedback and criticism, so I take no offense to anything you said. It makes me a stronger editor at the end of the day, and I understand there's still much I have to learn, as I said before, I'm learning with each edit. But I truly thank you for the incredibly kind words, seeing the potential in my work. It genuinely motivates me to be better.
