@@BluberryYumYum, It had one of the biggest cock ups in movie history. The CPU of the first Terminator was used to design Skynet's schematics. Paradox. The first film was a scary sci fi horror film, would they actually beat the Terminator? Second was a flawed flash, glitzy Hollywood action film. The MOMENT I saw the truck enter the refinery & I saw the molten metal I knew EXACTLY how the T1000 would perish. Entertaining film, but not a PATCH on the original. The other thing that really irritated me was, in the first, Kyle told Sarah they had beaten the computer in the future, the war was over. The only chance it had of maybe winning was to eliminate Connor's existence. If the Terminator did, it won. If it did not, it LOST. He also made it crystal clear, NOTHING DEAD WILL GO making the T1000's presence an impossibility. Second was a PURE CASH IN on the first, unfortunately. The final irk. At the Pescadero Mental Hospital, the T1000 marches up to the barred door, FULLY ARMED & stood there, looking at his target & proceeded to (HOLLYWOOD GLITZ) melt through the bars instead of SHOOTING THE HELL out of his target! Nothing scary, inescapable at all about it. Made to make money on the success of the original. Not a wee patch on the masterpiece original. Replacing story with lovey dovey stuff & cool sfx. No thanks.

@@BluberryYumYum, everything said in the masterpiece original precluded ANY follow up. However, IF there had been a tweak in the opening narrative about how a non living entity travelled through time and how somehow the Resistance was wrong about the war being over, yes. The second film would be credible. Sadly it became about glitzy SFX and the removal of the horror element, sadly. It was all about making money on the success of the original.

Agreed. The first one is defined in one word: GRITTY. Absolute masterpiece of storytelling, action, acting, special effects, mystery, etc.... no PG-13 sanitized BS.... just in your face raw guts. LOVE IT.

You edited this perfectly! The sound design and dialogue placement works so well. Only thing I noticed is few pops either music or dialogue that can be fixed for future videos. :)

Arnie is so much better as the villain rather than a goofy good-guy. The mainstream audience can keep T2. The original is definitely the best Terminator movie in my view. Each to their own.

@Tony-1971 hello there my friend anyway that's why I also like Alien (1979) directed by Ridley Scott and The Thing (1982) directed by John Carpenter both of them are also sci-fi horror movies and not action movies so The Terminator (1984) and The Thing (1982) and Alien (1979) all three of them are on the top of my list of being the greatest sci-fi horror movies ever created as well:).

@@WilliamTheUnkownShoutout I totally agree. I love those movies too. 💯👍🏻 Don't think we will ever get movies that good again. There is also an overreliance on cgi effects these days. I really appreciate it when you get a contemporary director who tries to use as many practical effects as they can. Just watched an Australian horror movie called 'Boar' (2017) A few cgi shots in it, but most of the monster effects are practical and very good.

​@@Tony-1971 thank you anyway I saw both Terminator 2 Judgement Day (1991) and Aliens (1986) both directed by James Cameron as a preteen and they are both indeed great sequels so I like Aliens(1986) directed by James Cameron a lot more because to me Ripley is still the same person as she was in Alien (1979) and not a different person in the sequel but after Ripley has seeing what one Alien is capable of that didn't stop Ripley from becoming a brave mom and a brave soldier and Terminator 2 Judgement Day (1991) I considered it a really well made sequel only because The Terminator and Sarah Connor and John Connor work together against an unstoppable enemy and The T-1000 was indeed no pushover and i believe The Terminator and Sarah Connor and John Connor all three of them barley won against The T-1000 as well:).
