To be fair I think the original trailer didn't spoil anything. It was purpose shot and showed the assembly of a T800 arnie Terminator. No footage from the actual movie

As a T2 superfan, I have to say that this is the best fan made trailer I have ever seen. I love that 30+ years in this movie has such staying power that fans are still coming up with new ways to keep it alive. This trailer is far, FAR better than the original trailer in terms of keeping things a secret while still making it look like the incredible movie that it is. Extremely well done!

This is so well put together. It doesn’t even hint at the terminator being there to save John. When I saw this movie in the theatre in 1991 I was under the impression that the terminator was the bad guy. This takes me back to the same innocence. Like a vision of a glorious future where the sequels after T2 were just as epic. I always pictured the 3rd film should have been deeper focus in the noir future dystopian war, Connor's early beginnings of forming the resistance - massive sacrifices to make it happen. What they did to him in the last film is like a satire I could hardly take serious.

A good trailer should give people what they want, while also showing things they don't expect. It should frame the story, without completely giving away the plot. It should give a taste of the action, but without providing context. It should glimpse impending danger, without revealing the nature of the opposition. And also, you don't hold on action shots for more than a few seconds, just like Cameron. Damn son, you've really got this stuff on lock. 👍

Love this trailer! Even as a kid when I first saw T2, I wondered why they spoiled the “get down” scene in the trailer. It was obvious when watching the movie that you were supposed to think Arnold was the bad guy.

Almost every shot of the Terminator in this movie is absolutely perfect. I particularly love that tracking shot from Arnolds belt in the parking garage, set against the backdrop of cement craters on the ceiling. I don't know why but that is one of the most exhilarating shots in any movie trailer ever

Good job, I watched this movie so many times when I was a kid I knew literally every line. Wore out the vhs tape. I still watch it Atleast a couple times a year in my 30s. It aged very well, definitely the best terminator ever made.

Now THIS is a modern trailer done right! Suspenseful, atmospheric, but doesn't reveal anything about the plot or even a glimpse into the inner workings of the story. It does what trailers are supposed to do: Get you interested in going to watch the film! So many modern trailers basically give you a 2-minute recap of the entire film, often complete with the climax. Excellent work!

One thing I love about this movie is that it isn't made clear who the bad and good guy are until they actually meet at the mall...if you didn't see the official trailers from when this was actually released. I feel like that was done very much on purpose and I can't imagine that Cameron was thrilled with those trailers. If this were released today, I think trailers would be very similar to this. I love how just some clever editing can make Arnold look like the bad guy. I might have included the T1000 to make him appear as a human protector like Kyle Reese, fans might speculate he's a cop friend of Sarah's. But this is really well done. It would've been a neat twist for audiences to go in and find out that Arnold is actually the good guy and the villain is...this skinny guy.
