It's Megacop vs. Megacorp when Detroit's cyborg crime-fighter hits the streets to protect the innocent - this time from corporate greed!
When the ruthless corporation that runs Motor City begins kicking families out of their homes to clear space for a profitable new real estate project, RoboCop (Robert John Burke, 2 Guns, Limitless) joins with a renegade band of freedom fighters to save them. But RoboCop must face some deadly foes, including a lethally efficient android and a dangerous gang of thugs. RoboCop's latest arsenal of high-tech weaponry only somewhat evens the battlefield, as this lone superhero takes on the entire army of corporate militia in an all-out war to control Detroit! This last film in the trilogy is directed by cult filmmaker Fred Dekker (The Monster Squad, Night of the Creeps).

Underrated film, I actually enjoyed it and Burke played Robo the same way Weller did which was great, unlike those that came after.

Robert John Burke was great as Robocop. If only he had better material, Robocop 3 is still fun though

Weller understood everything so he pulled out. I feel sorry for Burke who did a great job...but in a story line completely inappropriate...and u can hardly see Robocop in this move tbs

At least a lot better than Page Fletcher in Robocop:Prime Directives. Not only was Page way too short for the role. But also he moves like a wind-up toy. Burke did a good job moving like Weller did.

This is a very unfortunate movie. It came out like that because it was so rushed but the studio had no choice since they were going bankrupt and only Robocop could save them. Unfortunately Peter Weller was already booked and they couldnt wait for him. So it was nobody's fault. But as rushed as it is the movie is not that bad. The effects were there, the performances good as usual. If it didnt work its simply because only Peter Weller can pull off Robocop.

I dunno, story was pretty naff, man. Wasn't just Weller missing, the script and acting was dreadful. Turned Robocop into a super-hero, rather than the ruthless cyborg making mince meat out of violent criminals.
@CainNuke
@CainNuke 3 жыл бұрын
@@lloyddyer1829 yep, but that was still for the same reason. They needed to make money in order to save the studios so they had to go PG13 which of course compromised the script.
@lloyddyer1829
@lloyddyer1829 3 жыл бұрын
@@CainNuke sure, I'm aware of the reasons. It was just badly executed in my opinion, and should not be an excuse for a bad script. Even the TV series did a better job with Richard Eden, and that had comparable violence. Being a fan of the first 2, Robocop 3 was possibly the most disappointing sequel I ever saw (and I was still only about 12 when I first saw it). Even with a longer hiatus, Terminator 3 with a PG13 certificate did a better job.

@@lloyddyer1829 I think it is because everything was rushed beyond belief. T3 had over 10 years to work on a script and ended up rehashing everything over again.

I can see why they would choose Robert Burke as a replacement. On picture it kinda looks like he can portray Robocop and Weller. But IRL, and in the movie.... it was a disaster, he just gave the B movie vibe 100%. Complete failure. The whole movie Robocop 3 was a failure, from start to finnish. How could they mess it up so bad?

Its really too bad that Weller never became a star like Arnold Schwarzenegger in fact he may have been a better actor than doing something like this. Perhaps he shoulda turned it down

Robert was my favorite Robocop I’m disappointed that this movie gets so much hate I mean it’s better than Terminator 3 and most 3rd films. The Robocop Trilogy contained 3 stories Robocop- The Story of a man who killed and brought back to life by OCP but somehow retains his emotions and humanity. Robocop 2- OCP is in trouble because Delta City is behind schedule and they creating a 2nd Robocop to Speed things up. Also Robocop finally let’s his family go and focuses on taking down Cain. Robocop 3- OCP is desperate and is on its last leg now it has hired nazi like soldiers to force people off the streets to finally build Delta City. Also Robocop now longer serves OCP he fights for himself and his friends who are now his new family.
