Not only having a match, but being surprisingly athletic. Of course, we all know that's par for the course with Taker, but having never watched Laurentitis' stuff in Japan, I didn't really expect that of him. I just know he invented the Ace Crusher (aka the Diamond Cutter), so I guess I was expecting throw some punches and try to hit the Crusher and that would be all of his offense.

So Brian in determined and steadfast yet respectful manner stood his ground, and has done the same in retaliation and so henceforth, no longer has any familial ties or any association with, nor any reason to protect his once adopted family name.

It was his stunt double Russell Towery. Christopher talked to both Peter and Russell and Russell was the one that played Robo at the WCW PPV. Russell said it was a blast. So Jim Cornette is a liar. Peter was never the one in the suit. His whole story on his podcast is a bunch of bullshit. So anyone who says that Peter was in the suit is talking about a rumor and going off of Cornette's lies.

@@Metlhd313 Because they tie into the Monday Night Wars. WCW before then? Usually, the only PPVs anyone acknowledges before then are the WWF's. And whenever they try to review WCW, they try to make it fit the WWF mold. For example, confusing Starrcade with Wrestlemania. WCW didn't work that way. Depending on the year/booker you're talking about, the biggest PPV of the year could also be a Great American Bash or a Super Brawl. (Or host a War Games.) It's why some of the Starrcades are so disappointing, by comparison. WCW was always at war with itself, over whether to respect their tradition and history, or to sacrifice it all and see if they could steal McMahon's audience, instead.

A few years ago, both Sting and actor Peter Weller appeared at the Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee. I didn't bring it up myself, but I have to wonder if any standing in line for meet & greets with Sting noticed this coincidence and referenced Capitol Combat.

Dude, Tommy Rich was OVER here in the South and Appalachia. The girls would scream and scream as he took his licks and then piss themselves with excitement when he started making his comeback. I've heard other wrestlers talk about how like Barry Windham, Tommy was pure natural talent.

Memory is a little fuzzy, but if the rumor is true that RoboCop was supposed to get involved physically hut his suit couldn't be used in any way. Why didnt they just make a thinner/more durable suit. Yeah, few less details and not the "real deal" but it woulda been better than the suit falling apart on camera like it did from waking

I remember leading to Flair vs Luger inside the Steel Cage Match & this is before the internet where I thought Luger is walking out the new Champ. I was shaking my head hearing result thinking what a crappy finish. I am sure that I am not the only one who thought at the time that Luger was walking out the new Champion
