So far so good with this vacuum. kzbin.infoUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was a little concerned to find it seems to be all plastic, but the reviews were good, so I'm hoping for the best. Very easy to assemble Recommened, and only attachments I've used so far work well, and are easy to use. Doing a good job on the new carpet in my bedrooms and stairs. Works well on the hardwood on my main floor too. Reasonable weight and cord length. I already knew from an earlier review that it wouldn't fit under furniture, but I can use my Eufy for that, so no problem - the high traffic areas that need a stronger suction was really what I bought this for. If it continues as it's started, it will be a good buy and well worth the money. I have had two Shark Rocket stick vacs in the past that are super easy to use, but the motors just don't last well, even with scrupulous cleaning of the filters. I'm hoping for better with this Bissell.

Thank you for this fix. I cleaned the tension belt with some isopropyl while I was at it. Was quite dirty. If it happens often I plan to solder a tiny terminals to the motor about it through to the dust bin area. That way I can do this “restart” trick without opening all the screws over and over again.

The problem is most likely the connector for the motor vs issues with the motor as suggested here. That is why the problem returns for some, and others claim by running the motor with a power supply fixes the problem when in fact, simply re-seating the connector fixes it, at least temporarily. I would first try (carefully) cleaning the contacts of the connector attached to the main body using a thin eraser or alcohol and ear swab first. I spent my career fixing portable surgical electronics and much of the time, simply re-seating things that does the trick. Do the easy stuff first before blaming the motor.

I am not expert on this, but I think the problem is with the motor itself. Often, the problem comes back and a change of motor is needed. I had to change motor for one of the sets when the problem recurred. So far so good. Kindly subscribe to my channel!

No way. This method actually worked for me as well. Thank you so much! By the way, no need for a cable for jump starting. The 9V battery is almost the good size to begin with, and you can just bridge the gap with a screwdriver or whatever - simply touch the motor terminals directly.

Ive never done these diy fixes before in my life, but today i thought, why not. If it breaks it breaks.. been using it for so many years already. Followed ur video, and it actually worked! I was so suprised i actually yelled, it was such a great feeling Thank u so much for uploading this. It was so easy to follow.
