Which servers are you using i cannot update the firmware upgrades required i have tried to change it to mainland china setting although i live in Canada and yet to no avail

Abhishek Seth Sorry man! i I never received notification on your comment. I just saw it now! Am using "other" for past few months or the europe server. Mi Home app is weird recently and not all servers work. You might to try several untill you get one that works. And Btw am using Mi home 5.0.10 version. Also if your Firmware is not working properly in your country there is app who let you to control and install/flash any firmware that you want. Name of the app is Flolevats

Sergey Nosonenko Hi man! Yes, we still have it and it works awesome. We never had any problems with our Roborock S5. Few months back I replaced the main brush and HEPA filter it was about 9$ total(side small brush is still good). That's about it. BTW i don't wash the HEPA filter anymore with the water I just blows it from opposite direction with the small air compressor that I brought. It's much faster as I don't need to wait for filter to dry and for me it's way easier. It takes just few seconds, also the battery is still holding great, I did not noticed any degradation still after more 21 months of use. P.S. Just saw your comment! They really have premium products. Seagway MiniPro is very cool! I was looking to buy one but later on I decide to buy Xiaomi Electric scooter M365 sense I order drone too (Mavic PRO Platinum) to upgrade my old Phantom 3 standard so I had to cut down the cost due to tight budget. M365 I its awesome quality and I already had 2 firmware upgrades in 2 months. Crazy! It's really good transportation in crowded city. I driving it every day even if is snow now here in Sweden. Midori Koçak Hi there. I honestly recommend getting the roborock. I use it every second day and it picks up a lot of dust you wouldn't see. We have very antique furniture, hi legs so the robot gets around the legs of the chairs and around the borders of the floor. We have tiles and I only use it for downstairs. I am yet to use the mop option. I have not used the app, but the robot mapped the whole downstairs and returned back to the dock just by using the middle button on the machine. It is a higer vacuum, so to get under a bed would be difficult for example. Other then that it serves the purpose and you just set it and forget it. Easy to wash the dust bin, roller and filter.. Hope this helps, but I love it! Sydney, Australia xo 🤗

Does it scan the cat and map it as an uncleanable area?

Movie Games If cat don't move in that particular second then yes, it's like if you stand and roborock cleans around you and map you as obstacle, but as soon as you move from the spoot laser update the map again and every 1 second so you vanish from the map as cleaning obstacle. Laser head on the top is scanning 360 degrades all the time and consistently updating map and changes on the map.

Miguel Moreira Actually I have it for 11 months now. We use it every day sometimes twice a day. No problem, it runs great like when it was new. I still use stock filters and brush, I just wash them from time to time. That's it. On my opinion this is still best investment ever for any home. BTW, battery don't show any degradation, but to protect it even more, few month ago I install WIFI AC power switch and when I don't use my Roborock I turn "off" AC power via App. When I need it next day I just click AC "ON" and that wake up the roborock from the sleep. I simply don't like that my roborock Lithium battery stays on 100% charge all the time. By doing this, with only one charge It can clean up my apartment multiply times before it needs to charge again. Also I made short video how to change battery on roborock for future users it's a simple procedure.

Hi thank you for this thorough review. I have one roborock for a few days now. Overall it's really working wonders but in my case it doesn't clean any carpets which are black or have black lines in them. In your video you showed it cleaning a black carpet, did you updated or have done any "tweak" on the roborock?

Nuno Batista You welcome my friend. That's odd. I did not tweak or do anything to my Roborock and it clean everything just fine. I will take a look which firmware I have as soon as I can. BTW there is awesome app called Flolevac which can flash and re-flash any firmware that you like.

@@NexiTech Thank you for your advice. One side note is that I have other xiaomi, mijia, aquara products that need to be setup on the mainland China server and have the roborock setup on the european server thus I had to have a solution to manage the roborock under the same device and the FloleVac app made it possible. But this app for me it has a huge limitation vs the Mi Home app since it is limited to local access to the vaccum whereas from the Mi Home app you can manage the roborock anywhere. On the black carpet / cliff sensor issue I've already searched several forums and they all returned that this is a "known issue" and tha it won't have a solution since this is the way that the sensor recognizes a step or the virtual wall. But there is a tweak possible that I've already tested succesfully without changing the firmware but isn't the safest solution for proper use of the roborock.
