Bought a iRobot many years back when it first came out, their camera technology sux rear. Then I bought a first Gen Roborock few months after, never looked back. Now I own 3 roborock including the S7 for different floors. Get the S7 if you want a real robot vacuum, no other products can compete with this bad boy.

The latest Ecovac robot I think T8 or T9 not only allows the dirty contents to be sucked into a disposable bag, but also has a washing mechanism for its mops, which means that you do not have to get your hands dirty at all.

How is it on medium height climbing? My s5max is the worst at that... it can’t handle normal thick carpets... (no hairy carpets, normal...). Anything over 2 cm it can’t go over. We don’t have many but the only be two carpets we have it can not handle which is really bad. Except for that, it is good. Sometimes it is that smart when cleaning a rectangular shaped room which leads to much longer cleaning time than it has to.

I personally own the S5 and it significantly vacuums AND mops better. The auction picks up a lot more than before and the mop cleans up spots it never did before. The S5 is really good. But the S7 is even better. Just comes down to your budget.

The new rubber brush from the s7 may fit in older models like s5max and s6maxv. have you tried this If you tried what is the result?

it doesn't - they have different diameters. old model squishes S7 rubber fins, and old model brush is too thick to spin in S7/

I own an S5 since 2 years ago, I'm only switching for the automatic bin, else i would still keep it for years. Just an advice, put the main and side brush from the S5Max/S6, it improves a lot the hair tangling and it's way easier to clean it.

it's arguable whether this is the best as other brands have vacuum bags in chargers that their robots will have their dirt and debri sucked into, which does not necessitate the user having to dirty their hands, like this one.

I have the S6 MaxV and man is it worth the money. I don’t have carpets but he gets everything 100%. I don’t really use the mopping functionality but now the pad is “vibrating” it seems like a very good improvement. I often turn it on when I’m in the office if I think about it. The app is also too notch. The things he said in the video are true (with my S6 MaxV)

It's more than just a mop. The mop is significantly better than the S5. This one cleans really well. Better suction power matters too. It comes down to budget always and I'm sure Wyze is good too.
