Almost 2 weeks and its working out great out of the way. I had s7 Maxv Ultra and it was in my dining room near corner and so glad I was able to tuck this one out of the way. Laundry room be a perfect spot as well.

Does anyone know if I am able to buy the drainage and refill dock by itself? I have the s8maxv ultra but due to some home remodeling now want to use the plumbed dock. I can it find the dock to purchase (?)

As far as im aware, they do not sell it by itself. And not sure if they will ever offer that. A option is to buy the whole unit and just sell the robot itself.

Im confused by this - I just purchased the S8 MaxV as an upgrade from our S8 Pro Ultra solely because I wanted the auto refill and drainage but what you have here looks to be a totally different version than what I ordered (the larger dock version). Do I have to purchase this drain/refill dock separately to have that functionality or is this an either or scenario - Either go with the traditional dock with dust bin emptying OR go with the dock that has auto-refill and drain but no dust bin emptying?

@fredthebulldog529 hello, its two different docks, you have to buy one or the other, unfortunately they dont sell the dock by itself. The self emty dock version is only available from Roborock.com

So a fridge line works? I couldn’t figure out what kind of water line connection to install per the documents I’ve found for it. Can the drain line be run up to for example the washing machine drain?

@daktusdurggery5505 yes fridge line works, and as long as washing machine drain is not 3 ft above the dock connection otherwise too high of a lift for pump to function properly

@daktusdurggery5505 actually if your able to squeeze the hose in next to the washing machine hose that would work fine just need at least 6 inches of hose to go into drain and them the washing machine hose will help pressure it in place. Thats simplest fix. Otherwise you need a splitter something like this amzn.to/3xPA04w

I'm going to buy this to replace my sv 8 that just broke. I had the aftermarket auto fill and drain. So I am all set up with it. Question. Anyone know the best price?

@dreamleaf6784 that's perfect, should be easy setup. I definitely recommend the in line filter like one in my description, if you dont have one. Additionally, in the auto dispenser I highly recommend 10 to 15% of it be distilled vinagear. This will help keep buildup from internals and the lines. I have not seen any sales yet. And unfortunately this model appears to still be only available through Roborock website only.

Looks great. Do you know if the drain outlet is only gravity or whether it is pumped? I’m guessing it’s pumped so that it can go into a sink waste which would be a little higher than the base itself

Yes its pumped, they recommend drain not be higher than 3 ft of elivation above the dock at any point for the hose.

@@TecYimBroke my drain connection is about 4 feet from the floor. Do you think the unit would still work? I’m trying to avoid opening up the wall to get a lower connection point.

@Nick19837 I think in long run you will have issues because the pump motor is not strong enough for constant 4ft lift, and you will constantly have leftover dirty water in the line and dock which will build up and clog lines way faster than intended. Opening the wall might be your best option. You can install access doors for walls something like this amzn.to/3Bc71ct for the connection area and only need small hole in drywall near bottom run line in

Appears the Auto Refill & Drainage version is currently only available in the US. Do you know whether it will accept 240v 60hz as well?

I am not sure on that because there is no specs posted on the dock power input itself at least that I could see.

Yes sink is the standard connection. It comes with a adapter to attaches to your current cold water line, you will just have to buy a 3/8 drain adapter from local hardware store.

So disappointed in the connections they provided. The water input connector is a half inch which is incompatible with any faucet you have in the house. I thought it would be pretty easy to just put it in line between the shut off valve and water line to my faucet under my utility sink but no doesn’t fit. It’s also very difficult to find one half inch to 3/8 inch adopters for both sides of the line. Totally seems crazy to not just provide something that standard plumbing.

Hi, I agree they should include some adapters for different sizes, but in the United states the most common connection foset supply line is 1/2", this is probably the reason they only included that size.

Actually it’s not. Shut off valve is 3/8 on the faucet supply line side. The faucet side of the supply line is 1/2 inch but you aren’t connecting to the faucet you are connecting to the supply line. I couldn’t find 1/2 inch in ACE, Home Depot or Lowe’s, or Amazon. Couldn’t find a 1/2 inch shark bite shut off valve to replace the one I have which is 1/2 copper to 3/8. Washing machine is 3/4 so that didn’t work either.

@bluehannah8696 do you have copper lines? If so why not use the fridge connection like I used, very easy to install, self piercing and available most hardware stores. If you have pex then you can get sharkbite version as well.

It was actually a very brilliant solution for someone with your set up. My utility room isn’t near my refrigerator but I could drill through floor and find a water line somewhere in the basement but it just seems silly to me me to have to go through that effort when a simple 3/8 inline connector would be installed on 5 minutes. However after this conversation with you, I did relook online instead of just the store for a 1/2 inch shark bite shut off valve and I can get one. However I will have to disassemble my whole sink to reinstall it with 1/2 inch plumbing rather than the existing 3/8. I hope that I really love this vacuum after I go through all of this.
