@Shark Home Wow I was honestly not expecting feedback from Shark itself. I truly appreciate the answer. This will definitely help me better maintain my new house buddy. Is there a recommendation for a product to clean dust out of the vacuum's dust bin? Water? Clorox wipes?

WOW, I wish i had known this before! And I'm not sure how it's supposed to self-clean hair from the dust roll, but one side of it had a LOT of my (shoulder-length) hair wrapped around it. There's no way it would have ever come free without help.

I do like it but I don't love it - it doesn't go under furniture. I've measured and the space is 6 inches. The robot is 4 inches. My older model RV worked perfectly under the furniture, but this one seems to be afraid of the dark. The whole point of purchasing it was to get under furniture that's hard for me to reach, but it won't go under anything.

@@SharkHome I am looking for ANY publication of how to do ALL the maintenance and cleaning on my shark robot vacuum (AV2510AOUS)You guys don't don't seem to bother to do that anywhere. I know there are four filters only because Amazon sells them in a pac that includes 4 different filters, among other things . Where have you included instructions for how to clean/replace those filters Where are they on the robot and base? I have a filter that isn't even listed. I have watched all the videos you have linked. The version I have Costco is selling. Robot AI. There is no foam filter in mine nor in the box, I have a flat and wide filter mentioned no where else and I have no idea where it goes. I have checked your links.

@@SharkHome Customer service is brutal. The docking station motor smells burning everytime it's offloading the dirt from the shark AI XL robo-hoover. Called customer service within 14 days of receiving the unit and in a roundabout way said they won't cover replacement. Customer service looks for every way to get away from their warranty obligations. Also, I can't buy a replacement docking station, no way to do that and customer service not willing to help in any way. Avoid like the plague. By your robohhover elsewhere.

My robot is doing a really weird Behavior every time it goes out it keeps saying there's dirt underneath the AI sensor when there's nothing I cleaned it I've even taken compressed air and tried to blow it out nothing's happening it goes maybe 3 inches away from the dock and then immediately goes and flashes green and red any tips would be great

You don’t let people know that this cannot go under low tables couches etc. i bought it and the dome made it impossible. I am a shark robot fan because of the bagless system and have owned pretty much all of the previous models. This one hands-down is the worst. Besides the sensors are super sensitive, again it is no go when it comes to low services..

Just bought my shark two months ago - and keep getting error number two. Very disappointed in this vacuum for the price I paid. I have cleaned all the brushes, done all mandatory cleaning etc and for it only being two months old and the amount of money I spent - this should not be happening.

@@SharkHome I did - they want to charge me money to send me a replacement vacuum…acting like they are doing me a favor. It’s not a favor - I shouldn’t have to pay extra money for the vacuum because the original brand new one I bought not even two months ago is malfunctioning. Please see my post above. This video gives incomplete instructions for cleaning the removable dustbin in the robot unit (not docking station). Mine went nuts after around 2 months and I opened it up to do a thorough cleaning. When mine went nuts, it was no longer visible in the iPhone app and I could not reconnect the robot to my wifi. After the thorough cleaning I deleted the iPhone app and reinstalled. When I logged in the robot was back, including the history and map of my house and schedule and it started working again. I put this down to my lack of thorough cleaning, but this video is also incomplete about everything you need to clean.

Entertaining but incomplete. When the dustbin was removed from the back of the robot unit there is an orange filter that also needs to be removed and cleaned and then a lid that you need to lift, from the robot dustbin, exposing another screen type filter, all a part of this snap in dustbin. Neither is covered in this video. My question about the screen type filter, is that there is a plastic bar across the filter that gets pet hair jammed in it, between the bar and the screen, and then this filter gets coated with dirt. It would be great if the bar and this filter could also be easily accessed because I need to use a toothpick to clean under the bar and then brush the filter out with a paper towel. The bar and the screen are both held in place with screws. I was watching this video to find these answers. Otherwise I love the unit and I bought a second for downstairs.

I came to this video specifically for them to address this same issue. What I ended up doing for the hair and dirt that gets stuck under that plastic lip is gently use either a q-tip or toothpick and push the dirt out from underneath it. Not ideal, but seems to work fine. 🤷🏻‍♂️

We're sorry that the video doesn't show this, here are the steps if you need them : - Remove the dust bin from the robot and clear any accumulated hair or debris. - Use the tabs on the filter to pull it out of the dust bin. - Tap the filter clean over a trash bin or use a soft brush to remove dust trapped between the pleats. DO NOT wash it with water. - Reinsert the filter into the dust bin. Close the dust bin and slide it back into the robot.
