Griffon was a good example of a robot that got screwed by the trials. It looked like it could held its own against even Mortis in the Arena section. Challenger...meh...it got better in Series 3, but not by much. Dreadnaut gets a bad rep amongst Robot Wars fans, but I think it's a little underrated, and its run in the gauntlet proves that. It was unfortunate that it didn't get going in its Arena fight. Rameses...it was fine as Skarab in Series 1, but in Series 2, it just felt too sluggish. I do think Sir Killalot was way too quick in attacking it though. Oblivion was decent, it worked, and I give it kudos that it survived the full fight with Mortis. Mortis gets accusations of being overrated, and I did notice a little bit of favouritism in the beginning of the gauntlet and the fight against Rameses, but the tanto blade was a good weapon for Series 2 standards, and it was well driven and engineered. Deserving heat winner imo, but I wish Griffon got further.

I think it's fair enough with the trials and such. cuz they are to show more than just mere 'my bot can get under yours and flip it over'. There's control, precision, etc.

Oliver recently said there was a lot of interference making Griffon a bit unreliable, which explains a bit of the trials, they couldn't even record it's entrance in one take because of it. The fact the Oblivion team made Supernova is amazing, an example of an old team adapting to newer technologies.

Challenger looked good but poor driving lets it down. Mortis is of course a good robot, the best out of this heat most certainly. It's sad that Dreadnaught didn't get past its fight, as I always like the robot, but poor Dreadnaught is just plagued with bad luck!

Rameses II was robbed by that floor spike. It had pushed Mortis fair and square into the PPZ and was holding it there. Shunt didn't axe very much on Mortis and the house robots were much nastier to Rameses than Mortis in that battle. Justice for Rameses II!

Mortis, 10k, 10k of old money?! I'd expect better for that, damn. It doesn't appear to control better or have more power than much cheaper designs. Cool robot with the tracks, but tracks only really perform better on uneven terrain.

Should of took those casters off the front and just use castors like pussycat used and tweak the speed controller a bit so the controls are not so sensitive ,it should make it more controlable
