That version of Panic Attack was by far the worst that was built, even Kim Davies admitted it was.

Apparently the issue was that Kim Davies had just started doing some work on the Robot Wars Technical Team, and didn't have as much time as he'd hoped to test and refine it. I think the goal was probably to make a more durable, and basically unflippable robot, hopefully making a srimech unnecessary. But presumably because of the lack of testing, it was also extremely slow and difficult to control, robbing Panic Attack of its key strengths: its speed and manoeuvrability, and therefore Kim's driving skill couldn't come into play.

The intro spoilers show every single result, wowee. The only things the spoilers don't show is 'how did A-Kill get through' and 'how exactly did Reptirron' go out It even shows the spoilers in order of the fights, and even has JP saying 'is Panic Attack good enough to survive all' while showing it getting a battering by Terrorhurtz quickly followed by being destroyed by Matilda, and then being flipped meaning it has to have been counted out before that (followed by drop zone).

The heat would have had such a different outcome had corkscrew gone through. I doubt terrorhurtz would have beaten corkscrew given how they lost to fluffy in series 5. And then the heat final corkscrew would have done more damage to panic attack but if they made a driving error or weren’t up to speed with the spinner , they could get flipped and not sure if they could have self righted

It's so hard to hate Kim Davies. Such a great and real guy and an unbelievably talented driver. Too bad the usually-reliable Panic Attack robot seemed to be unreliable this heat.

You know, I think Panic Attack were lucky to get through that first fight. Had Corkscrew not pitted themselves I think Panic Attack would have still been flipped by Kronic and it doesn’t look like they can self right.

George Francis needed to talk to John Reid about the buffered Pneumatic system in Terrorhurtz. A hypothetical Chaos 3 with a seemingly unlimited supply of flipping power would have played well into their strategy. Too bad he retired after this season. But what a show, this season certainly was really something to watch!

Was a shame to see PA go out like that, always liked them, despite not being one of the major stars of the show (at least in later series), but it was painfully obvious in the earlier rounds that this version was nowhere near the quality of the series 5 model. Didn't control well, was slow and the big top panel played right into Terrorhurtz hands

Kim Davis said that he didn't have enough time to build the new version so it was kinda rushed and he even ditched the self righting because he couldn't get it to work. He said that this version of PA is the worst. Still though, you gotta give the man respect. One of the Best Drivers in Robot Wars history and even with this version of PA, he did good despite the issues.

The Drop Zone is more for spectacle, really. “Kick them while they’re down” I guess. It causes damage occasionally; someone got an Ocean Buoy dropped on them Series 7, which knocked off their top armour.

They would have still lost had he kept moving. The top cover was off so any more axe attacks from terrorhurtz would have done damage to the electronics and probably rendered panic attack immobile as a result

It could definitely "move", but the transmission was completely fucked beyond that. PA tried to move after being counted out on other occasions (on the Floor Flipper, on being moved to the Drop Zone a second time), but never managed to truly do anything sustained. Either way, one more hit from Terrorhurtz would've done the machine in without question.

I believe that Terrorhurtz buckle Panic Attack chassis so bad that Panic Attack's wheels were not on the floor or Sir Killalot piss oil on floor in that CPZ because after Matilda completely ripped Panic Attack's top armour you can see Panic Attack's drive chains still moving

Always a pleasure to see Panic Attack, even if (and this is with foreknowledge from the intro, curse you you moronic producers!) it's getting a bit long in the tooth now. Kronic could be a danger with its flipper. Terrorhurtz is very manouvrable and always a danger. And - yet another Razer clone? Well, Corkscrew appears to be immensely damaging, though ironically its impact freed Kronic from the grasp of ROCS. And then with a shrewd nudge from Kronic (which may have been intentional) Corkscrew sat on the Pit as it descended. Then Kronic, despite serious squeezing from ROCS, was still functioning well enough to flip and KO ROCS. Second heat, if Terrorhurtz can't beat those three I'll be surprised. Only question is which other one will survive. Well Terrorhurtz hammered all three of them in turn, I'm not sure if any of them scored any hits on anything. So Roadkill sorry A-Kill (or the remains of it) went through along with Terrorhurtz. So Panic Attack carefully manouvred A-kill around and gently deposited them in the Pit - probably the most predictable result in this series. Terrorhurtz vs Kronic - probably the best-matched pair so far. Or would have been if Kronic had ever managed to get underneath Terrorhurtz. But Thz was much too quick for them. Most entertaining bit was when Kronic ended up under Growler and almost managed to lift and flip it - that was quite impressive given Growler's weight. (What BS from JP about Growler 'destroying Kronic 2' - nah, it was the other way around ya wally). Love the little victory spin Kronic did after that! But what the hell was Growler doing out of its corner pushing Kronic into the CPZ? Pretty sure Terrorhurtz took umbrage at that since it had a bash at Bash. Well, the final, on current form that has to be Terrorhurtz unless they make a mistake and Panic Attack can get under them - which is difficult. Well Terrorhurtz just hammered Panic Attack into immobility. The less said about the stupid bullshit of dropping a fridge on it the better.

I think I’ve found the most cursed timeline possible; ROCS could have been a semi-finalist, perhaps even Grand Finalist. Let’s say that Kronic flips over Panic Attack earlier in round 1. With Corkscrew pitted, Kronic and ROCS move on. ROCS faces A-Kill and eventually wins with a pitting. Now I know what you’re thinking; surely Terrorhurtz could reduce ROCS to scrap? Well yes. But, let’s consider Terrohurtz’s history with crushers. It actually lost to Tetanus in the Series 5 qualifiers, and it was in peril from Ming 3 in the series proper. Razer wasn’t just the worst case scenario; vertical crushers are what Terrorhurtz dreads. I know that Terrorhurtz had a better front wedge in Series 6, but it was still possible to breach it while the axe was firing- look closely in round 1, A-Kill briefly got under THZ. If ROCS can get in at just the right moment, it can grab Terrorhurtz and either rupture the CO2 supply for the axe, or dump it in the pit. So onto the Semi-Finals, and ROCS is drawn against Spawn Again. The two did meet a year later, with Spawn Again coming out on top. Bear in mind though, that Series 7 Spawn Again was a whole different beast, and this is a Spawn Again after two punishing encounters with Supernova. Also, ROCS did manage to grab hold of Spawn Again in Series 7. Most importantly of all, it’s Series 6 Spawn Again. Either it survives long enough to limp to victory, or it dies to a few blows and comes worryingly close to losing to bloody Spam. I can easily see ROCS grabbing Spawn Again and either knocking the aerial off, crushing a gearbox or somehow pulling the link out. Or ROCS could just settle for a pitting. Into the top 8, and it’s Bigger Brother time. In most cases, BB should win this fight comfortably. In the 14,000,606th timeline that Dr Strange didn’t see however, ROCS gets under Bigger Brother and bites into the weak top, pinning a wheel in place. ROCS moves on to the Grand Final, and instead of being drawn against Razer, the producers decide to put ROCS against Tornado, eager to see just how far this promising new crusher can go. Tornado whips out the new improved Anti Crusher Weapon early, eager to test it out ahead of the final. Tornado dominates ROCS and emerges victorious, but the cage is badly mangled in the process. ROCS gets flipped over by Firestorm instantly in the play-off, while Tornado is unable to repair the cage in time for the final. Tornado is forced to face Razer while armed with the scoop, and we get the worst Grand Final battle ever.

This is a 1 in a 10000000 considering ROCS lack of armor and if it did go against Spawn Again it’ll probably get flipped over either way if Spawn Again was limping as usual ROCS does have a self righter but from what we know it has only worked like one or twice it’ll probably be knocked say Heat…?
