Introducing our specially designed robotic complex for milling plastic pipes on metal drums (mandrels). With a pipe length of 6000 mm and an inner diameter of the drum ranging from 500 to 3000 mm, our complex is capable of handling pipe wall thicknesses of up to 300 mm.
Our robotic complex utilizes an HSD ES779 - H6161H0625A spindle mounted on the 6th axis of a FANUC M-900iB/280 robot, providing precision milling capabilities. To ensure safety and accuracy, the robotic complex employs a total of 8 axes, including the 7th axis of linear movement of the robot from Güdel and the 8th axis for drum rotation from the FANUC 1 axis/500 kg positioner.
To prevent the cutting tool from colliding with the drum, an induction sensor mounted on the spindle periodically scans the drum's surface. The selection of chips is facilitated by pneumatic transport and vibrating trays, ensuring that the process remains efficient and effective.
