To those confused about this, I suppose this is meant to say that Transformer parts are similar to how human organs work. They not really a “swap and fix”, remember, organ transplants can go wrong. Iirc, sometimes the body will fail to recognize and integrate the replaced organ with the body’s natural system. So it’s possible that transformers could suffer similar issues if you try to replace one of their parts.

They don’t build an adult right away because what I haven’t seen in this movie is coding. So you can’t program an adult. You have to start with some holy starter OS and it will learn itself over the years. Making a child an adult body, there have been a Myriad of movies exploring how awkward that would be.
@ginocanterino258 Жыл бұрын
Sorry I'm late but I think the reason rouild as babies and not as adults could be because the adult robots like the feellings of being parent. How would you feel if you didn't have any chance of enjoying the childhood of your children because they were born already adults and ready to find a job? The best part of being parents is everything before the child becomes an adult

@@ginocanterino258 You’re comparing human nature to that of metal and bolts. Can you see how the different species do not equate? Some animals perform cannibalism of their own children or siblings on a regular basis. You don’t see humans doing that. I understand what you mean. But I’m trying to be more cynically rational about a fictional world that wasn’t made to make sense. Lol
@ginocanterino258 Жыл бұрын
@@pumpkingamebox don't forget that animals that commit cannibalism aren't as self aware as us. This robots shares a mind very similar to ours so it's very logical to assume they would feel the same emotions we feel, have the same wishes we have and much more. They are made out of metal but their minds? Even if inorganic they are just like the human minds
@pumpkingamebox Жыл бұрын
@@ginocanterino258 No, it’s you who is forgetting that humans are also animals and have inherited the traits that make us care and want for offspring. Emotion are purely a human thing. And a desire to see offspring grow up is a biological instinct. Which in Robot society doesn’t exist. The only thing human thought shared with the robot thought, or any other alien species that might live a wholly different way (based on silicon as an example) is logic. Ancient Greek Stoic’s had an insanely similar ideas to those of Buddhism. Since those came about by logic and examination of human life. Only ideas that come through such logic are shared. Caring for one’s offspring is not logic, but a biological instinct. And as I proved in my previous example. It does not exist in every species. Therefore, the idea of a Robot wanting to care for a little robot first and only then a teen, and then an adult, is irrational. Because it’s purely human.

I actually got Robots on DVD in a pack with it's soundtrack. There were other options like this but I picked that one. (Don't ask what the others were, this was about 15 years ago.) Anyways, I for some reason decided to watch the movie in Spanish with subtitles and I watched it in whole that way. (I actually was interested in Spanish but I didn't do that for every movie.) I did this a couple of times. However, I have never seen Robots in whole in English. I get maybe halfway through it at most and get bored, only really admiring the animation and soundtrack. Speaking of the soundtrack, I listened to THAT quite often. So I actually preferred songs like Shine, Right Thurr, and Get Up Offa That Thing to the movie itself. So make of that what you will. Fun Fact: The song More To Life is on the Christian CD Wow 2005.

this movie was a cute movie, granted a crappy one but it was still adorable, apparently when me and my brother were young we forced mom to watch it like eight time and she liked it the first time but after the eighth movie time felt like it was literally slowing down. poor woman was giving us housing and food and in return we forced her to watch this hours long movie almost ten times in a row.

I think it would be weird to make an adult robot form for an undeveloped artificial intelligence to live in. Could you imagine being a new-born baby in a fully developed adult body? You wouldn't know what the heck you were doing and your parents would have a harder time taking care of you.

Question - if the movie's aesthetic is kind of 1950s inspired - does that mean Rodney was born in the 1930s? Or was he born in the 1950s and the movie takes place in the Robots version of the 1970s?
