Many expressions were strictly from the Polish backyard. Unfortunately, they were not explained in the note, so it was perhaps harder to catch the gist. Another play with the Polish language. As for cabaret, Hrabi has such a specificity: fooling around, improvisation and a lot of such a theatrical performance. Kabaret Hrabi, together with other cabarets, created a theatre series called: "Heirs" (modelled on the series "Dynasty"), where they completely improvise the events of a created family. They played such improvisation on stage, live in front of an audience. They came up with the lyrics while playing. A lot of episodes were created. It is a very interesting cabaret and theatre project. I love the Hrabi cabaret for its theatrical improvisation.

@MrSztyrlic - and that's clever point! And that's also what makes Hrabi so unique and brilliant! They don't just present jokes. They encourage us to laugh and think in the same time. And we can have different understanding and wonder what they actually meant to say 🙃

About the dance, looks like Western societies were exposed to oversexualisation in society, media etc. for so long, they see even interaction like this (purposely awkward dance with female audience member) as something "creepy".
@savitius7353Ай бұрын
O tempora o mores... dancing with nice girl is bizzare or creepy? Well, in Poland some years ago it was something normal. For me still it is.

It wasn't any language. A bit of a parody of the Hungarian language, but these words meant nothing. They just wanted to show that the audience can only be entertained with facial expressions and body language. What they achieved.

The title of the program is "WHAT IS FUNNY?", so actors, in their sketches, LITERALLY explore this topic. The title is the key to understand those sketches. And dancing is not a pervercy... well, as long as both of dancers behave properly... but again, look at this scene by perspective of program's TITLE.
@andrzejsyАй бұрын
the sketch with the policeman was about the fact that in Poland there is a stereotype that policemen are idiots, so when describing the event he gave him words that were difficult to spell

I still don't get what's the point of rewriting jokes by the translators instead of translating it literally with an annotation if needed. You are not reacting to the skit but to translators. Sometimes you even cringe and complain about stuff they never said.
