Started listening to Bill Evans in my late teens. Now 73, I am still a diehard Evans fans. To hear Bill Charlap honor Evans is a special treat during this time of being at homebound.

I became a disciple of Bill Evans in 1960. I'm 78 now. I listened almost exclusively to Evans until I discovered Bill Charlap about 15 years ago. I believe that he is the best jazz pianist currently on the planet.

What idiot would give this a thumbs down? Some people have no taste or appreciation for genius and talent. They should go back to Lawrence Welk or country western. This is a tribute to a genius who sadly is no longer with us.

I have been a fan of Bill Charlap for sometime; amazing technique and phrasing. That he played with Phil Woods, the composer of this tune, and Gerry Mulligan attests to his great skill and taste.

This is the most sensitive treatment of Goodbye Mr. Evans I've ever heard. You can hear the Bill Evans tributes in his playing. Bill Evans would love it.

My first great discovery of 2019. First encounter with Bill Charlap, Scott Colley and Dennis Mackrel. First time hearing this song. It is amazing to me that this is from an album (Souvenir) released in 1995. 24 years and counting. I should have discovered Bill many years ago.

I discovered Bill Charlap on Pandora radio while listening to a Shirley Horn station. I perked my head up and *had* to find out who was playing the piano with such clarity, feeling , and sensitivity. Bill Charlap is a genius! I wish the world knew more about him.

I love Shirley Horn because she is a minimalist. She sings as she plays and is more of a storyteller than other pianists. I saw her in person and I will never forget her wonderful performance.

More than any other medium I can think of the modern jazz ballad creates the space of reverie of thoughtful repose of dimensional introspection of the encapsulation of what's worth a damn about this life we blunder through with our big clown shoes taking ourselves too seriously. Namaste
