Thomas F. Wilson (Biff) is a comedian in real life and is actually the nicest guy you can imagine. Biff was so outside of his normal character, that he had a hard time playing him. Trivia: Actor Crispin Glover (George McFly) didn't want to be in this sequel because he hated the script; but then he sued Universal and Amblin Studios for violating his publicity rights, because they used a look-alike actor (Jeffrey Weissman) to play him in the 2015 scenes, and a few of the 1985 reshot scenes. They put prosthetics on his face, taken from molds cast of Glover's face during the first film, to make Weissman look more like Crispin Glover's George McFly character. Glover couldn't do anything about the stock footage images they had already shot from the first film, but he charged that the filmmakers had no right to fabricate his image in newly shot scenes in this sequel without his permission, and of course without paying him. I believe Glover and his attorney settled with the studios for a sum of around $760,000.

1:29 This is not “a Spielberg movie,” as such. He was executive producer, yes, and his company Amblin’ Entertainment was the production company, and Steven himself was certainly involved in the creation of the film series, but all three of these films are Robert Zemeckis films. Bob Zemeckis and Bob Gale were the two men most directly responsible for these movies. They were the ones who thought it up and brought it to Spielberg after shopping it all around Hollywood and getting turned down. Spielberg was certainly fundamental in making sure it got made, but it wasn’t his thing from the get-go. He had worked with Zemeckis and Gale previously so he knew them and was friends with both men, but please, give credit where it’s due: Robert Zemeckis, the director and co-writer, and Bob Gale, the writer. This is their film series.

Props to Thomas Wilson for giving us "Biff". Being a stand-up comedian and also having been bullied at school, he was able to create a character who was both despicable as well as being a buffoon. The original line for Biff was "make like a tree and leave", but Thomas said no way would a guy like Biff be that smart, so he improvised "make like a tree and get out of here" which stuck. Butthead was also his improv, as well as calling George "Irish Bug". Thomas also performs a hilarious song he wrote called "The Question Song" after he got tired of people asking him the same questions over and over.

I spent a couple of years as an assistant in a high school History class and, to the kids, so many rich, famous, and/or powerful people from the past are just "some old white guy." And, in one class, before we started the chapters on WWII, they only knew Hitler as "the guy with the funny moustache." Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure is a comedy. It came out in 1985.

To this day, this is the movie that has one of the most accurate predictions of the future there is in movies and the reason they achieved that is that they turned their vision of the future into one big joke. Says a lot.

Saw this and part 3 in Okinawa, Japan in a Japanese theater. (Not in the base theater.) It was interesting, as the Japanese don't tend to laugh out loud in public theaters. We would laugh and get dirty looks, an acquaintance explained why. After that we kept the giggles to a minimum

Great reaction guys!! I hope you don't wait tooo long before doing the third one! There are so many things to take in that you wouldn't know unless you re-watched it. There is a youtube video you can watch that tells you all the things that were easily missed, small details that will blow your mind that you didn't see. Oh, also, one of the little kids at the Cafe 80s was one of the main actors in Lord of the Rings. Also, another video to react to is when Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd went on Jimmy Kimmel on the same date in 2015. It was the date they went to the future and they acted in Character as if they landed in 2015. It was awesome. Huey Lewis was even there and Biff too!

Yup...a very young Elijah Wood aka Frodo Baggins...also cool that you get to see a very young Billy Zane in both this one and in the first. He was one of Biff's cronies back in 1955.

Can't wait for you to do Part 3! In my opinion it is the best movie in the series!

I love the way the film not only echoes its predecessor, but also the tunnel scene in the final act, is a mirror of Griff chasing Marty in 2015 across the pond in the FIRST act! Really cool writing for it to come full circle 60 years later!! (orrr earlier?? time travel logic i guess lmao)

I could have sworn you reacted to part 2 already. I've been waiting and waiting for you to watch BTTF III. I think someone went back and altered the timeline, creating this skewed version of 2023

When the first movie was made there was no plans at that time to have a sequel. Robert Zemeckis has claimed that if he knew that he was going to make a sequel, he would have made sure that Marty's girlfriend Jennifer wasn't in the car at the end of the first film. Since the movie would concentrate on Marty, there was not much for her to do, and she would even get in his way. This is why Jennifer is knocked out by Doc and left behind so early in the movie. The actress that originally played Jennifer, Claudia Wells, had stopped acting after her mother was diagnosed with cancer so they recast the part with Elisabeth Shue and reshot the ending scenes with her. Since four years had passed between films and Jennifer's part wasn't that large, most people at the time didn't even notice the change.

The actress who plays Marty's girlfriend in this movie is different from the one who play her in the first installment. It is actress Elisabeth Shue. She stars in another really great comedy classic titles, "Adventures in Babysitting" (1987), which also stars Penelope Ann Miller (of Carlito's Way, and Kindergarten Cop),
