Ann and Nancy singing in harmony is THE secret weapon of Heart. You hear it in every song. Dog And Butterfly is a perfect example. just the two of them singing and strumming acoustic guitars. Hope you get to that one someday. Studio OR live...

Heart is my favorite band of all time. I love Ann's vocals, which are full of power while also having a massive amount of range. That being said, I'm glad Nancy got to do some lead vocals. Nancy could easily be the lead singer but when your sister is Ann & you're in the same band........there's just no way. But I love them both with all my HEART.

I am a 54 year old guy, from Canada, that recently fell onto your videos. I grew up with many of the songs you have reacted to. Truth be told, I've heard them so many times that I had grown disenchanted with most of them. I wasn't sure what to expect when I watched your first video. I found the emotions that you both felt, when you would hear songs for the first time fascinating and refreshing. This has, surprisingly and rather quickly, reawoken my musical taste buds. I find myself going to back the past and listening to songs I had previously abandoned. I think I had taken a lot of these songs for granted; forgetting the magic that they hold. Your anticipation for a new song and the genuine excitement you express during a song, it is childlike(in a good way). Thank you for bringing me back to the music! I wanted to suggest songs and artists to you, but it seems you have covered most of my ideas. I would suggest, for female Friday, a Canadian powerhouse. Check out Sass Jordan. "High road easy" or "Make you a believer", and it may just happen. Keep up the great listening!

@@Nature-Remedies23 I don’t think it was creepy at all. It was unique and unusual. It was simply about a young, beautiful woman who was desperate to have a child with the man she loved. Unfortunately, her significant other had issues which made him unable to impregnate her, so, on the spur of the moment, she took extreme measures and hid the truth from everyone. The song and the video together are quite powerful.

Nice song, Nancy was always more about being an integral part of the band than being in the spotlight, nice to see her step out. I saw Heart 4 times, and she always had a chance to show her lead electric guitar skills, we were within 20 feet of them at a fair 15 years ago and Nancy was screaming on a Gibson Les Paul! Try Black on Black II to see them all rock out in the Barracuda vein. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶

That's Howard Leese on lead guitar. He was guitarist and keyboards for 22+ years with Heart. Nancy plays rhythm guitar and acoustic guitars most time. If you ever need another Heart song that is a deep dive into Heart ballads - you should find the song "Secret". The video is from the 80's while they were on an Asian tour, and they filmed a lot of it while in Tokyo.

Jay, the bass player during this period of Heart was a gentleman named Mark Andes. He was quite an accomplished musician in his own right. He played bass with a extremely popular group from the late 60 to early 70s called "Spirit". Then he was with "Jo Jo Gun" and then by a very popular band called "Firefall". You guys should react to Spirit's number one hit from the 60s called, "I Got a Line on You." You'll love it!

I am 60, so I consider myself an Original Heart love. Jay may not like it, but "Dog and Butterfly" is such a poetic and vocal song - it deserves some attention. I dont remember, but I think it was their second hit and the album cover was a soft pink with their profiles opposite each other. I was eclectic at 14 and had over 300 albums from Kiss, Bay City Rollers, ACDC (with Bon Scott) to a million one hit wonders - including Escape by Rupert Holmes. I was such a music nerd I would clear my schedule on Sunday to write down the top 40 songs of the week. Man, I wish I still had them (listening to Casey Casem).

Anyway, as a new subscriber, I feel it behooves me to do my part and make some suggestions...in the vein of rocking ladies, I submit Vixen 'Cryin', 'How Much Love', or 'Love Made Me; and some Patty Smyth, maybe, 'Hands Tied', 'Beat of a Heart', Heartache Heard Around The World' or even 'The Warrior'. Most folks don't know that Eddie Van Halen once asked her to front his band!! Also, something my female kin would enjoy, 'On The Dark Side' from the movie Eddie & The Cruisers. performed by John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band.
