What may surprise you about Alice is that he is a devout Christian who attends church regularly and does A LOT of charity for his community. His rock star persona is simply a character he created. His concerts are like a rock opera and they're very dark, fun, and theatrical. Shock rock ☺️

A friend of mine back when he was on high school was dared to test out the schools new security system. So he took the principal up on his challenge. He got into the school, put on a pot of coffee for the principal and swapped the national anthem for “Schools Out”. He waited for the principal in his office with his feet on his desk and said “good morning sir”. During opening exercises when the “anthem” started and it wasn’t. My friend got called to the office over the PA by his last name!

Guys Alice Cooper is 74 years old and lives in Phoenix Arizona, Alice Cooper is an American singer, songwriter, and actor whose career spans over 54 years. With a raspy voice and a stage show that features numerous props and stage illusions, including pyrotechnics. He has eleven Grammy nominations, two Grammys, and is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 2011. PS: he and Ozzy have been hard-core rocking the USA for a long time.

Married to same woman for over 40 years. Fans were concerned when Alice Cooper appeared to say that he would end his own life if his wife passed away. He said: "I couldn't live without her. We always said there will never be a time when one of us will be mourning the other. "Whenever it does happen, we are going to go together." And there is no way of surviving without each other." However Alice later clarified his comments and said: "Sheryl and I do NOT have a death pact, we have a LIFE pact. We love life so much.

@@tamiramos5873 that's straight up an argument from population logical fallacy. Do you think floor is a better singer than let's say, lady gaga? Because what you just said means lady gaga is a better singer because she has more fans...when technically, floor is actually better based on having a larger skill set, the size of their fan base is irrelevant. Just because more people believe something to be true, doesn't change whether it's true or not. Since opinion is subjective, it's not useful in a skill-based analysis. I was simply saying their best (objectively based on skill required) songs are not those you mentioned, they are just the most popular.

Alice Cooper was my mom's favorite Rocker ever. Growing up listening to her music. I knew every word to Cold Ethyl at the age of 4 , a disturbing song about having sex with the dead ! No child that young should've even heard the song , much less have it memorized. This was off his Trash album which was his career comeback .he released Trash while I was in High School. I love Alice. That man is a God live onstage. Have seen him in concert 4 times. Always an incredible, amazing show.

I have an Alice Cooper story. The summer before their first album was released, they played a free concert, at night, on the Mall in Washington DC. At the end of "Black Juju", after a long instrumental section in which Alice and the other band members snaked in and out, back and forth, Alice sprung forward, front and center, threw up his arms and shouted, "Black juju". From his right hand erupted a rocket, which streaked high into the sky. The crowd went wild. I think all eyes but mine where on the stage. I followed the rockets trajectory as it burnt out, arced over and descended through the limbs of a tree and crashed into the back of the neck of a hefty, balding middle age man in bermuda shorts, knocking him forward a step and sending a huge shower of sparks down in front of his shirt. I honestly think I was the only witness.

The first time I heard Alice Cooper was in my cousin's beat up VW cruising the streets of Salt Lake City while on vacation the summer of my 18th year, 1972. My cousin put in the 8 track of the album, "Killer," and I was hooked for life!!! Later, I went to BYU in 1973 and on the last day of my freshman year, 1974, I stacked my two huge speakers up against the 5 inch opening of my dorm window and blasted out "School's Out" (it was a high rise dorm and nobody could open their window more than 5 inches, lol). Alice Cooper, real name Vincent Damon Furnier, is a wonderful person who has overcome alcohol addiction and has been married to his wife since 1976. He is a shrewd businessman and has always gone the extra mile to make sure that concertgoers get 150% more than what they paid for. He has always been involved in charitable events and is quite the golfer as well! With Poison, you guys have only touched the tip of the iceberg! Check out "School's Out" and "Billion Dollar Babies." Welcome to my Nightmare is also a fun album too!

He did an album called "Tales From the Inside." It was inspired by the time he voluntarily spent in a treatment facility, (some say insane asylum). You need to listen to that album from start to finish to really understand it, but the song on it that stands out to me is titled "How You Gonna See Me Now." Alice is generally known as a rocker, but people forget just how many hits he had with his ballads. This song showcases a softer side, and show off just what a great voice he has.

But I have the whole catalogue. You have to hear The Black Widow with intro by Vincent Price! He did this back in the 70's, long before Micheal Jackson got him to do the rap in Thriller! Micheal took what Alice had been doing (on stage no less) amped it up and did Thriller! Gene Simmons from Kiss admired freely that when they saw Alice they thought if one guy could do that imagine 4 guys doing it! His live shows are great (Check out the video for Teenage Frankenstein for a cool glimpse into his show. There's even a little magic slight if hand to be seen!) He did a Friday the 13th tune for the movie with He's back! The man behind the mask. And let's not forget his ballads, Only Women Bleed (about domestic abuse) and How are you going to see me now (a song to his wife he wrote while sobering up in a mental institution. There was no Betty Ford when Alive first tried to clean up, he had to go extream!) So many huge hits, welcome to my nightmare, no more Mr. Nice guy, I'm 18, I want to be elected, the department of youth. All great songs

This has an 80s sound but his earlier 70's stuff was amazing and songs like Schools Out (an actual anthem for us who grew up in the 70s every year at end of the school year), I'm Eighteen, Billion Dollar Babys, Teenage Lament '74, Under My Wheels, Welcome to My Nightmare. His music could be heavy but accessible, in other words it had melody and you could sing to it while it kicked your backside. He did ballads too, like Only Women Bleed. He is a deep rabbit hole.
