Barry wrote a lot of Andy's songs. Andy's biggest hits in the later 70's were "I Just Want To Be Your Everything", "(Love Is) Thicker Than Water", "Shadow Dancing", "An Everlasting Love", "(Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away". Sadly he passed away at only 30 years of age. Now only Barry is left. But at least we have a great legacy of their music.

A quote from Andy about Barry’s writing "So, once we discussed it all and got the deal together, me and Barry locked ourselves in a bedroom and Barry just started writing. When Barry writes, it is very hard to collaborate with him, because he is so quick. And before I knew it he was starting to do the chorus of ['I Just Want to Be Your Everything'], and I thought, 'Wow what a hook!'. He's an expert at his craft. Within about 20 minutes, he'd written a number one record; and then we went right into another one”

A sweet voice. Much loved by his fans and his brothers. The Bee Gees always did a tribute to their younger brother. I think the tune was written by the Gibbs. His first three singles, including this one, SHADOW DANCING, and LOVE IS THICKER THAN WATER, all went to number one around 1978. That should give you an idea how hot the Gibb brothers were in the late 70s. And yes Amber he was indeed a huge hearthrob, on cover after after cover of the teen fan magazines. He was about 20 when this album came out. I would strongly suggest checking out YOU SHOULD BE DANCING, by and sung by the BeeGees with Andy . IT is pure fun disco and will get you up off your feet. In the video they have their signature tight white pants.

He was such a heart throb when I was growing up. All of us girls were so in love with him! Regrettably, it was only later that I came to realize his talent. I was devastated when he died so young. Thanks for another great reaction!

love the studio version, because the brothers Gibb do the chorus, also “You should be dancing” the live performance, where there all together is great.

Wow, I was pretty young when this came out. The song came out in 1977, so I was 11 or 12. LoL I remember having a crush on him, & I had his picture hanging on my wall. Haha!! He was soo cute. In my eyes, he was definitely the cutest Gibb brother.

Saw Andy in concert in 1977 when he opened for Neil Sedaka in Fargo ND down at the civic center, it was the day Elvis died, this song was #1 at the time on the charts.

I remember there were plans for him to join his brothers as one of the Bee Gees. Sadly, he passed away before anything came of that. Imagine what an entire album with all 4 would have sounded like!

There are no words to describe the amazing talent of all the brothers but what I admire the most is the love they had for each other. Barry's love for his little brother reminds me of my big brother. I cry when I think of his broken heart when Andy passed....

Ahhhh my man! I had a poster of him with this exact same jacket he has on and no shirt underneath laying down on his side. I think it was on every girl's wall. This shows his talent though that it is live and he sounds very good, sometime you should check out the actual recording of the song, as his brothers are backing him up on background vocals. I am so happy you revisited Andy!

The Bee Gees had a good run of folky hits 67-70, but then their disco comeback 75-80 was unmatched. They were the top 40 Kings of the era

Yes, yes, yes! Robin's voice is different, and wonderful. I think Robin was only 18 when he wrote the song. It's one of my favorites. Another of the songs Robin was lead vocal on is Massachusetts, which was actually the Bee Gee's first #1 hit.
