You are a natural teacher. I am training someone for when I retire in 2 months. I wish I had your cool, relaxed attitude. Mind you I am very patient but you have a very systematic way about you that I just lack.

Hi. Love this video too. Question, the photo stacking, what is meant by pro lens? As this feature doesn't work with any of my olympus lenses. I got a 45mm lens with camera but stacking doesn't work with that as focus bracketing is greyed out. Am I messing a step or need a specific lens.
@RobTrekАй бұрын
Lenses that have the "PRO" label are pro lenses. For example, the "40-150mm f4-5.6 R" vs "40-150mm f4 PRO". For stacking, you need one of these lenses: learnandsupport.getolympus.com/support/e-m1-mark-ii/which-lenses-are-compatible-with-the-focus-stacking-mode

Focus Stacking only works with the all the pro lenses,30 & 50mm macro lenses.

Thanks for the EM5 mark 3 series of videos Rob. For setting up the bracketing, as an alternative to using custom timer, I assume we can use Sequencial Low shooting instead?
@RobTrek4 жыл бұрын
Yes, that works too. You just have to time your trigger finger to let go at the right time, otherwise it will start the next sequence or not finish the first one.

Could you make a comparison video of the e-m5 mark iii vs e-m10 mark ii? Using the same lens and settings, is there any difference in the images
@RobTrek4 жыл бұрын
Check this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJqynnd7h7SKgJI I made a mistake at the 7 minute mark, but otherwise the comparisons are valid. Thanks. -Rob

Hi Rob thank for your amazing video, I am a beginner in photography and I wanted to ask you about the Olympus OM DE M5 Mark iii with the M Zuiko digital ED 14-42 mm f/35-56 lens and M Zuiko digital ED 40-150 mm f/4-5.R lens I saw this in your Amazon store and I am wondering if this bundle package would be ideal for a beginner like myself...Thank you for any feedback that you can assist
@RobTrek3 жыл бұрын
Hi. I believe the em5-iii with the 14-150mm lens would be a better deal. I've seen that combo sell between 1000 and 1300 recently.

Hi, I have the EM1ii and iii and EMX and thinking about getting the EM5iii for traveling extra light. I'm just wondering if you can change the function lever to power the camera on and off with the EM5iii???? I'm so used to using on all my other Olympus cameras it would be strange for it not to work on the EM5iii also if I was to get this camera. Thanks
@RobTrek2 жыл бұрын
Hi. Sorry for the late reply. Yes, the fn lever can be assigned to power the camera on and off.

Thank you Rob, your videos offer the most insightful support for us OMD users! If I may ask a question about focus stacking bracketing: does it work with handheld photography? For group pictures I sometimes have a hard time putting all people in focus (some people are in front, some in the back), so if I put stacking focus from the center of the picture will I have all faces in focus? Thanks
@RobTrek3 жыл бұрын
I've never tried that but it should work in theory. I'd just be a little worried if anyone moves while the camera is adjusting focus. Probably better to increase your aperture to f/8 if possible given good light.

I just got my omd-em5 mark iii. Focus stacking works on my 60mm lens, but not on 12-40 mm f2.8 and 40-150 f2.8. What could possibly the issue here? Please help. Thank you.
@RobTrek4 жыл бұрын
Hi. You may need to update your firmware, but my 12-40 f/2.8 is working on firmware 1.2. Also, look at this site to see if you're missing anything. learnandsupport.getolympus.com/learn-center/photography-tips/macro/focus-stacking-bracketing-with-om-d

Hi Rob, Great tutorial as always. Going to Multiexposure in my new Olympus EM 5 Mark III, I Can’t activate the Overlay, which you show on your camera here, the Overlay choice is not highlighted, so cant use it ? Why? Could you please explain Whats wrong ... Thanks in advance ...
@RobTrek4 жыл бұрын
You need to have raw files already on the sdcard to Overlay with. It won't work with jpg. Let me know if that was it.
@Flower-43004 жыл бұрын
@@RobTrek Yes, it must be the reason here, normally I shoot both RAW and Large Fine Jpg, but this SD card I only had it set for LF, thanks a lot.:-)
