I went to a concert of Robyn's a while back, and a 'lil kid was dancing while atop his father's shoulders. The dad was dancing as well. We were all dancing.

The tune is bouncy and happy, the lyrics about the perils of heroin addiction. On first listening I was reminded of Herb Alpert’s “Mexican Shuffle.” Both are great tracks.

After all these years, I just now got the joke about the balloon man's name being Bruce. I can't believe it took me so long.

Absurdity and Surrealism: The name "Bruce" is quite ordinary and mundane, contrasting with the extraordinary and fantastical imagery of a balloon man. This contrast enhances the whimsical and surreal atmosphere of the song, where ordinary and extraordinary elements blend together

The most expensive music video ever made - Scream, by Michael Jackson - would cost 7 million USD. This one came in a bit cheaper I expect. IRL - I was part of a convoy of students driving from Denver north to Greeley and we had the same radio stations on. We could see from the vintage VW beetle in front of us the driver and passenger bobbing left and right like they were in a madness video to this very song.

No. This was his sir listic take on the bad side of the American dream. Over consumerism and such. As far as the placing of some of the lyrics that part of the inspiration came from one time when he was eating Falafel while walking down 6th Street
