One great thing, when our cars turn 30 years there's no more tax and controls will be done with 2 years apart, insted of every year💪

As a Swede, watching people dream about getting a Volvo and complaining about parts being hard to find is actually hilarious to me. Not in the derogatory way, but mostly because over here it's so goddamn easy to find a good RWD Volvo 2/7/940 for less than $1000, and parts are absolutely abundant at car depots and junkyards. I've owned three Volvos so far and I've trouble imagining I'll ever get something else!

You cannot rationally state conclusively that the "Volvo" prolonged her life (you can't save a life, you can only prolong one), especially not by comparison with other cars. You have no control against which to compare, and you can't even quote statistics because 83% of statistics are misleading. Oh, I suppose that if she had been standing right there in that lane with no car around her she'd have gotten bunged up a little.

@@timhofstetter5654 Oh and by asserting that the expression "saving a life" is factually incorrect, you're operating on the basis that a human life is and will always be finite. And unless you own a time machine and know the future, you can't make that claim. So if you don't know for a fact that immortality won't ever be achievable, saying the expression "saving a life" isn't correct, isn't correct. Hence you're a moron on top of being a pretentious prick.

@@yashwinning Let's talk about that immortality thing for a second... just because I'm a "moron prick". Given that just about one hundred billion (one hundred thousand million if you're British) people have lived on this mudball over all of human history, and not one of them has ever exhibited any sign of being immortal, the likelihood of human immortality is less than 1:100,000,000,000. That's close enough to be called a certainty for most purposes. Then you add in our current understanding of genetics in general and telomeres in specific and those odds get more extreme. We won't even get into the wholly irrational proposal of "time machines", which can only be thought of it terms of "magic", since due to obvious reasons they cannot be thought of within the context of real-world physics. There are many other aspects upon which I won't touch here. The notion of human immortality is, quite simply, ridiculous and insupportable.

why volvo when you can get a Ford Sierra or a bmw, both of them perform better
@LocalAutist4 жыл бұрын
@@DesertWolfFIN because ford rust crazy much and gets lots of engine problems after a certain amount of mileage unless mk4 mustang with V8 or crown vic, beemers have a lot of engine and subframe problems while not being very easy to work on, only major problems volvo has is differential and 3rd gear on the M90 gearbox which was only offered in the 940 and 960 afaik, they got so much room in the engine bay you can even put a Viper engine with minor modifications (which is an 8.4L V10 if you didn't know, which is a HUGE engine)

My first car was a Volvo V70 2.4T AWD and it literally never let me down in all the years I owned it. It was reliable, spacious, economic to own and drive, had all-wheel-drive and felt decently quick with its five cylinder turbo engine, producing 210 hp. That car will forever have a special place in my memory.

i dont understand why volvo stopped making RWD cars.... it really made them special
@nobodynoone25002 жыл бұрын
FWD had been pushed by other companies as being "safer" and "easier to drive". When really it was just "cheaper to manufacture" and "more fuel efficient". With AWD, either a rwd style or fwd style layout can work, and volvo with with a opposed fwd type. This enabled better packaging, and lighter weight. Companies like BMW continued with RWD purely as a function of legacy (ahem, "Luxury") marketing and lazy engineering, perfering to complicate everything else instead.
