I agree. I love it. If you check, what it all has and can... it does not seem to be that expensive anymore... (compared to 1/18 trucks, which are not much smaller).

It is easier with such tiny cars. It is really cute... she will like it. It is much more difficult with larger cars (or helicopters, planes). It does not need a lot of space... can be stored easily, it can drive in your living room, it has lights and hazard lights (women like this :-) ). And it needs a driver figure - there are a ton of options, she will like this, too, "wives like dolls" ;-) (mine does) - you can let her chose the driver (and maybe remove the military lettering, I will probably do this). And it is not super expensive, as some larger trucks, helis... (ok, it is not cheap for such a small truck, but with some points and coupons it is a little more than 200 €/250 US$ on BG, a model for 500 - 1000 would be a more difficult story).

Hey Donald I was thinking 😳. Normally I upgrade electronics on all my RC's, so I could use my Austar AX5S transmitter. Only one I haven't done that is to my HG-P47 cause of gear shifting channel. Same on this jeep, I won't do. Want I normally do to transmitter is upgrade battery compartment to use a small 2s 1.5mAH LiPo, and as for RC change the battery plug to use also a small 2s 1.5mAH LiPo so it could last longer 👍. Now my question to you is, any info that's helpful before I do this will be appreciated. Thank you in advance 😕

I guess, there is not enough room, unfortunately. You mean 1500 mAh, don't you? Maybe a 600 mAh (as from CR-18, Katana, Atlas) will fit. Honestly I did not think a lot about this, because for me changing batteries is not a big deal... but still did not check how long it finally lasts. And upgrading electronics will also be super difficult. You will loose the awesome light controller... which is really super cool. I do not intend to modify my small Willy - I think, electronics are really good (of course a AS12/6 or AS12/15 ESC would improve low speed modulation, but how to do with lights...?).

@@donaldsneffe the 1.5mAH LiPo I'd be using measures: 50mm L x 28mm W x 9mm thick, removing the tabs surely the battery will fit. Can you measure and see if it does, thank you in advance. Only thing I'm upgrading on transmitter is battery compartment to use a 2s 1.5mAH LiPo, hate the AA batteries.

@@Modifier-RCs There is only 20 mm room for "W", then the board comes... and the whole hood area is only 50 mm long... I do not think it will fit. It comes with a 380 mAh 2s Lipo, does not use AA batteries. BTW: There is no 1.5mAH Lipo, it can have 1.5 Ah or 1500 mAh.

Hi Donald! How's it going?! Really nice Jeep indeed, but the leaf springs are just too stiff. Maybe you can try to remove a couple of springs from each set to make it a bit softer. BTW... can you please tell me what's the outer diameter of the 1/12 tires? I'm thinking of using them in another project. Also, are the wheels 7mm hex nuts? Obrigado!

Oi! Tudo bem, obrigado. OD is 60 mm. No hex, pin directly inserts into rim. Will show it in the next video. 8 metal leafs/ leaf spring for each wheel. Easy to take out and make softer. I will. Did already disassemble it. Video will be up soon, partly finished (hard to do videos actually, perfect weather + Eurocopa). Até!

Look at the specs for a 1:1 ‘41 mb it 1/12 scale. These were are so called 1/4 ton vehicles.

The wheelbase of the 1/12 is 169mm The full size 1941 Willys MB wheelbase is 2032mm
