Hombrequemiralaluna I have to disagree. He played bebop as hell with Charlie Parker in his prime then moved onto a more introspective and lyrical sound but Chet could bop as hard as anyone !

Hombrequemiralaluna chet tried his whole life to be like early Miles , unfortunately, he says that honestly in some Interviews. Luckily for him he endend up being overrated as the W hope. I use to play with this bass bass Player who worked with dexter Gordon, dizzy and ray charles, . That was what it was all about. Being a hope. But Chet was a good man of great integrity.
