8 yrs later this video is still helping people ...I have my fuel pump Clear hose on bottom of carb when it should be ontop ... she's running rich and yeah trying to get her going...

good video, just what I needed. question does your vaccum choke pull off seem to pull all the way in. I was watching mine and its always on preventing the secondary to open?

I'm confused, the opening problem statement is the choke is not opening properly, do the adjustment and the test for success is the choke full closed?

it should be opening when the intake manifolds heats up. At default (and cold) position it should be in the closed position

Yes but when u push the lever down to line the hole up with the rod is on the other side of the carburetor the choke ingaged or not because this would make a difference in distance? It might line up not engage but line up engage do u understand?

Can you put on any choKe from a quadrajet,toa different quadrajet carb.

Whats the thing that the rod comes fron mine dont have that or the rod an im thinkibg thats why its not sounding right

Its called a divorced choke or stove choke. Newer models have the heat choke or even electric one.

Where can someone find that choke rod, to the manifold? All I can find on line is the choke rod for the vacuum pull off.
