The Philippines is beautiful, however, getting around the country is difficult and you need a lot time and patience to travel from island to island. People are generally friendly, inviting and English is widely spoken! January/February/March are the best months to travel! Enjoy!

My wife and I have a house in Silang, Cavite and it's about a 15 minute drive from Tagaytay. Our house is about 19km (12 miles) north of the main crater of Taal Volcano. On January 12, 2020 My wife was with her family in Meycauayan, Bulacan and told me that Taal was having steam and ash coming out. Little did she know at that time that it was actually erupting. It was raining some and I thought that I was hearing thunder but it was actually the crackling of Taal. That night was completely crazy with nonstop sirens and then came the volcanic earthquakes from the movement of the magma. I am happy that I took a couple of videos of the eruption. The electricity went out around 4pm on that Sunday. We were in Tagaytay on January 10 celebrating my birthday and I said, while taking pictures of Taal Island, that if Taal was erupting it would make for better pictures and videos. My wife said that I need to be careful about what I wish for. Anyway you should go to the Philippines to enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature and the most wonderful people in the Philippines.

Im a Pilipino, aside from crystal clear waters and its thriving marine life.. what amazes me always most in Coron/El Nido Palawan, are the Lime rock Cliffs nature formed like a bonded multiple thin layers of pastry crunches positioned vertically by its vertically oriented etched/grooved lines on rock surfaces/faces..and its gray hue/color !

FYI please visit on summer time although it’s hot weather, you will find the skies and waters super blue and clear but the downside is that those spots beaches are full of people visitors but if you come during rainy season the waters are not that clear almost green as it reflects the gray skies it’s still beautiful but not as nice as those you see in the video They shot the beautiful places during summertime so the colors are vibrant and minus the swarm of tourist in the beaches

When you visit the Philippines.., be friendly..,enjoy the people..,when they say "hello"..say hello back with a smile and you will have a good friend alongside you. Don't think yourself as above them, instead, be yourself without any labels and you are meeting your family for the first time. Every country had bad people, but in the philippines, majority of the people are hospitable, friendly and very welcoming...,as long as you are also.., we will inititate the first welcoming "hello" with a smile.., then it's up to you of how you would like for us to treat you.

Filipina here, I remember a year ago, our neighbor brought with her 3 Australian adult men. She introduced them to us and to her relatives. Next few days I heard one of those guys is with her sick and she is nursing him to get well bcoz he doesn't have money for the doctor. This lady knew how to massage using nerve points. She also know herbal healing. Next days I asked her where's the Aussie? She said he left maybe he's well or maybe he can't stand the smell of dead mice in my one room affair house! Lol! Or maybe your smell another neighbor said. Did he left some money? No! I spent for his food..but he thanked me sincerely...I'm happy to help! A mentally challenged lady!

You can walk barefoot at the white sand of Boracay even during sunny noontime because they are cold in the feet unlike in some beaches with silica sand which is very hot.
