Rock-A-Doodle has always been my favorite movie since I was a kid livin' in Yoakum, Tx. When I thought that Glen Campbell was just an actor I didn't know that he was a country singer at that time until I found out in my teen years, and that really made me love country music at that time. So yeah I have to give thanks to Glen Campbell aka Chanticleer for gettin' me into country music.

Honesty, one of my all time favourite movies since as a kid during my childhood. Legendary soundtrack the storyline, the characters, actors and just pure emotion. Till this day, the movie and it's story told brings me joy and a bit of tears to my eyes, and espically with the soundtracks. If you asked me to describe this movie, I couldn't fit it all in this box. This film once out carried many childhoods espically with my generation, and its amazing and a bit sad how time flies. Extremely underrated film this was, and I'm real glad I got to watch it on cassete as a kid, and still have it till this day. Real sad, seeing the legends of this film, pass, but its how time goes. How I miss the good days. Atleast this gem of a song is aging real nicely, never gets old. Legendary.

Rock-a-doodle was my favourite movie as a kid. I probably saw it 20+times back then, and since i have watched it twice. It has been at least 5 years since i saw this movie or heard the song. But i think about it so often. This movie is my childhood, and i love it. There is so much nostalgia in this movie that i feel like a kid every time i hear "Sund do shine" Lyrics by Glen Campbell(and some other): GLEN CAMPBELL "Sun Do Shine" Woah! Yodelehee! Cockadoo what a day The sun is shinin' brightly Cockadoo sunny day Down here on the farm Cockadoo stay away You big ol' wet ol' rain cloud Or I'll cry out loud with this voice of mine Sun do shine (Sun do shine, sun do shine, sun do shine) Sun do shine (Sun do shine, sun do shine, sun do shine) Sun do shine (Sun do shine, sun do shine, sun do shine) Well, my daddy taught me how to sing And that's why this voice means everything Sun do shine, you better shine (You better shine) Well, the sun do shine, you better shine (You better shine) You better shine (You better shine) You better shine (You better shine) You better shine (You better shine) Sun do shine (Sun do shine, sun do shine, sun do shine) Sun do shine (Sun do shine, sun do shine, sun do shine) Well, the sun do shine (Sun do shine, sun do shine, sun do shine) Well, my daddy taught me how to sing And that's why this voice means everything Sun do shine, you better shine (You better shine) Well, the sun do shine, you better shine (You better shine) You better shine (You better shine) You better shine (You better shine) You better shine (You better shine) You better shine Sun, you better shine! This is honestly by far one of my favourite childhood movies of all time, and probably my favourite movie of all time. I remember watching this as a kid during my childhood, and throughout the years and even now I can't help myself in thinking about it, and even singing this song, soundtracks or just recalling my childhood. Literally what a legendary song this is, same thing with the story behind it, the characters, the actors, the soundtracks, music and much more. Like every scene of the movie is just pure joy and emotion, same thing with its music. Even as I'm writing this I'm getting so much nostalgia and childhood memories of watching this and listening to this as a kid. Even to this day, this movie and its story still brings me to joy as well as tears to my eyes especially with the way I grew up and the very first time I saw it, like I could just keep going on and on about how much this movie means to me even to this day. There's honestly so much words that I could possibly describe it, but to get it you honestly have to feel it since it just bring so much joy, emotion, feelings and much more. Like it honestly wouldn't even fit this box, I wouldn't even have any more characteristics to describe it. Like honesty, its one of my all-time favourite movies since I was a kid during my childhood and its honestly nice to see that this film also did the same to many others, especially with my generation. Like even now, its so rare to find anyone else that watched it, or even finding it in general. Glad that I still have the original cassete for it, since my childhood when I first watched it as a kid. Like even now as I'm listening to this like I said earlier, it just sad how time just passes by so fast and you don't even realize it. Such an extremely underrated film this was, like nowadays its like a hidden treasure since even Google Play doesn't have it. Only orignals like us have the original cassette for it and I'm real glad that I got to watch it on cassette as a kid, and still have it till this day. Its even more sad, that all these legends that made our childhood pass, but like they always say time doesn't stop, it just keeps going on and on. Don't bad sad that its over, be happy that it happened. Such good times this was, and such a throwback to my childhood. Just pure nostalgia and childhood memories as well. At least it can somewhat still be found on KZbin, even though there isn't much KZbin videos of its song, soundtracks, movie, and etc. Its literally a long lost treasure that people like us got to experience it only which just makes it even more special. Not only that but no matter how many years passed, this song never ages and never gets old. It still brings back the first time I've ever heard it, watched it, experienced it, ithe pure emotion, joy, and etc. LIke they honestly just don't make movies like these anymore, especially songs like these. Kids nowadays don't even understand how much movies like these meant to us. That's what makes it so unique, special and iconic for all of us. This is literally my childhood especially Chanticleer & Glen Cambell how he was able to pull off being like the King of Rock N' Roll, Elvis. I remember even trying to dress up like Chanticleer by having my shirt out, dangle and etc. Such good times. There's just so much to say, describe and feel. Even the front cover of the cassette brings back so many memories when I look at it from time to time.

+NationalPat In the play it was based on, this is true. But in the movie after Chanti leaves the sun doesn't rise again and they don't explain why. Was it the Duke's power that kept it from rising after he left? Did Chanti's crow actually effect the Grand Duke's power to block the sun?

2:13 Adult Edmond: (narrating) Since the first dawning, people have awakened to greet the glory of the morning each day. Some days it brings its rays of light, some not. In this fantasy world, however, the sun requires assistance. And the one to assist it being awakened was a rooster. His name was Chanticleer. His voice was like a magic spell of joy, peace, and prosperity being casted over the whole countryside. Flowers blooming, corn stalks growing, anything or anyone to face a new day, even Chanticleer’s friends at a pasture where he resided. And the sun is the main element to our story. Which begins................right now.
