Well it 1980 was actually when it started. The first Showbiz Pizza location opened in March 1980 with a Wolf Pack 5 in it.

The control system that Showbiz Pizza Place and Chuck E Cheese used for their animatronic shows in the late 80's and early 90's which would also have a video that displays on TV screens that were next to the stage and ones that were installed to ceiling mounts in certain areas of the game room.
