*Top Whiskey/Scotch Drinking Tip:* DON'T drink with a wide mouth - the idea is to drink the liquid WITHOUT taking any air in to your mouth - alcohol evaporates in air, which is responsible for the acrid or burning sensation and strong taste after drinking 1) Keep your lips small 2) _Pour_ it in to your mouth *DON'T SIP IT* or you'll be taking in air which will cause the burn! (3) Swallow the liquid and *keeping your lips together,* exhale through your nose 4) Enjoy the caramel notes, the woody undertones and the sweetness! You only need to pay attention to the first 1 or 2 drinks - after that you won't have much of an issue with taste 😂 Learning to drink Whiskey is a revelation and well worth the 2 or 3 sips it takes to "get it"... I always hated it til I was shown how to take it down properly; Gold Reserve now makes my Christmas list every year!

Boy, you really know how to sell them. I’m pretty sure that vomiting while showing them off is not how is supposed to be done. I haven’t acquired a taste for scotch either. I have been putting in a small effort to learn to enjoy bourbon, which is better than scotch in my opinion, but I don’t quite get what all the fuss is about there either. I think I’ll stick to beer. You did a nice job of making those symmetrical. That’s difficult to do. Next, you should make some spheres!

Haha! Oh man Rob, yeahhhhh, worst sales pitch ever 🤣 Yeah, I’m gonna stick to an ice cold beer from now on. Maybe they could be called beer rocks... 🤔 Thanks man, I started this thinking, “yeah, I’ve cut wood to square before, this should be simple...” it was so different. I really relied on the polishing process to work them a bit more symmetrical. But still, I think I had some Rhombohedrons in there. Haha! Man this challenge has been so good to be a part of. I am terrible for starting things but not finishing them. Even simple cubes, but this channel has made me complete so many more things than I had before. I feel pretty fortunate hey. @@Rookie_Rockounding Putting ice in beer sounds awful, but if it didn't melt, it wouldn't be a problem. If I'm drinking some sort of whiskey, I prefer ice that melts because it waters down the alcohol and I don't make faces like you did. I have a few incomplete projects of my own. this was a great week and Im loving finishing it off with a calm drink with some old friends, cheers ! what a long strange trip its been , and here we are still rocking , I don't drink that often any more but I might try this, on the first hot river day of summer. still a bit chilly for the ice here. and....thank you for mentioning the toxic rocks, we have allot of toxic and radioactive rocks in the south west USA and most people don't know it, not to mention all that testing of atomics in Nevada ,we don't mention. but yes, in the end, its the dust , my dad has had two lung removal surgeries ( you have five lobes ) from cancer. he is long into remission again and looking good , the miracle man x 2 , we worked side by side in construction in decades of dust, if you've done it ,you know there's no way to really be safe even when you try, and here in the 50's we built with such bad stuff, the remodels of the 90's were nasty business, it still is, every one, be safe, its real. Hi Rookie, surly only an Aussie would have thought of turning some of his rock collection into “Scotch Rocks”. Love the idea, I’m a scotch drinker, though these days only occasionally and preferably a single smooth malt with a dash of water. Probably work the same for a beer, though that would leave less room in the glass for the frothy amber liquid. I am really impressed by yourself and a couple of the others who undertook the challenge while only having the minimum of tools & equipment. Not that the others have not done a great job but their equipment makes it a bit easier. Mate your energy and humour are a bit infectious to the point I actually started laughing along with you, which made the misses look at me like some kind of loony sitting in the lounge chair with earphones on and iPad on resting on my leg, laughing along. Did Benny even know you were coming around for drinking test,😂😂. Thanks for the video, great idea, a good laugh and a great result. Good luck with the challenge. Keep Safe & Keep Rockin Rookie.

Used to love Scotch in my late 20s but had no idea scotch rocks were a thing... TIL! Really great work, that greenish rhyolite u liked so much Was Amazing! I feel your pain on losing that white banding, I've just started polishing a few months ago and lots of the agates I find here in the PNW US are yellow with that thin banding that rubs off if u r not careful! Once I finally invest in a saw I'm gonna have to give that a try in case I ever start drinking scotch again...
