Rock-O-Plane POV (50+ Flips, 4K 60FPS), Knoebels Eyerly Looping Flat Ride | Non-Copyright

Rock-O-Plane is a new-for-2023 addition at Knoebels. This classic Eyerly flat ride looks like a Ferris Wheel, but guests are able to rock and invert their vehicle. In this video, I get over 50 flips on one ride! Sorry for my hoodie strings getting in the way. They refused to sit still with how much inverting I did.

I never knew they added a rock o plane! I've never done any super intense carnival ride before, and I really wanna do a ride like this. Another reason I hope to get to Knoebels next year!

They purchased it from a closed park in Texas named Joyland this past winter. I think it was a last minute decision and not something in their long term plans.

Back in the 8th Grade I did 150 forward flips on one ride with my friend Nikki. A year later we hit 151. Sick both times.............ugh. But we did it!

The last time i rode one of these was super memorable. The ride operator would flip each car himself each time guests were loaded. There was also a guest that bribed the ride operator to leave the seat rotation locked in place the entire ride for one of their friends. It was absolutely hilarious, although a waste of money

I miss that ride. The Rock o plane will pop up sporadically in Louisiana but im usually at work and miss the fair its at. Keep an eye out for the Hi Roller/crazy train. Thats a real treat if you come accross a carnival that has one.

@CanobieCoaster I rode the Hi-roller when I was 10 years old. I wasn't ever able to get the opportunity again. Word is that Butler Amusements still has one in service but unfortunately they don't come this way. Edit: just come across another video that there are a total of 6 Larson Hi-roller/crazy trains left in operation through out the country. It is one ride that will compete with the zipper when it comes to thrill.

2024 - I'd love to see a video where you take a friend or a cousin or nephew or niece who doesn't know that the carts can flip and also that the rider controls the flips. What an epically funny video that would be, but it can also be a learning experience for the viewer of how to get those many flips. awesome!

To get this many flips, all riders need to shift their weight together. It's easier with one person rather than having to sync up with a 2nd.

I thought the zipper was fun but the change in direction was very uncomfortable for me but I would love to try one of these where the change in movement isn’t so abrupt!

The movement isn't as abrupt on this, but the bar over your lap can be a bit uncomfortable.

You can lock it with the brake, but this is more fun.

This was assembled at the front of the park at the end of 2023. When I was there this past summer, it was being reassembled in the back by Phoenix.

​@OliviaConnolly-s8i It only operated on that site for Hall-O-Fun 2023 and was then relocated to the site of the Cub Cars, near the Phoenix. It just reopened for Hall-O-Fun 2024 and apparently will operate there in 2025 and beyond.

The rock o plane at Santa Cruz is a bit tricky to get constant flips you pretty much need to work out in order to get fast flips

You have to rhythmically rock and violently throw your weight around.

When I was there, they were not allowing single riders if you were in a group for capacity reasons. Individuals could go alone. And they'd send the odd numbered person in a group alone.
