This is the best and nicest video I have ever seen on the 'Rock of Cashel'. My ancestors are from Cashel and I visited many years ago. Looking forward to returning again next year.

My Aunt lives in Cashel and has a view of the rock from her kitchen window. As a child in the 70's it was completely open to the public and I used to play hide and seek there with my brother and cousin's. The cross of St. Patrick was outside and we would see if we could wrap our arms around it for luck.(my arms weren't long enough) Thank you for sharing.

I'm doing my next podcast on this and found your video. Thanks much for the info, I like youtube more than articles sometimes. Videos are more in depth. I have always wanted to go to Ireland. Now I want to go more.

Same. Have been twice and would go every year if I could find the travel buddies to split costs of accommodations with me! Makes a trip like that very affordable!

Point of clarification at 4:56. The building is built in the shape of a cross, not a crucifix. A crucifix is a cross with Jesus on it.

Been from Ireland i have been there and a few others but if you look to the north south of the rock you will see what's called the devil's bit and it is said that the devil tuck a bite out of a mountain and spit it out in Cashel

When you introduce, I can understand completely, while others like Rick Steve and etc do, sometimes it's difficult for me to catch what he is saying. Both of you are from America but I don't know the reason why there is difference for me to understand when you are talking .

So bam can set the deadlines and the government have given an open ended contract. This is just crazy you'd easily know this was taxpayer's money and not theirs.
