This was nice to see; and it brought a happy tear to my eye. I love all the bands in these posters, and was fortunate to see some of them (especially The Grateful Dead) perform live many times. So sorry for this lady's loss of her brother; but so happy to see her so excited and happy to have the memorabilia. No matter what she decides to do with them, I'm sure she will make a choice her brother would approve of.

The R-n-R HOF would make a special room for them , seeing that are so many. Amazing. I wish they would have at least scanned of the rest of them to see what else was in there. Some Neil Young, and Janice Joplin, and the band would be neat to see. Their manager was a jerk. And wouldn't film a lot of live concerts

I'd be getting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on the phone (with the help of this appraiser) and decide on an arrangement that benefits both parties - they get priceless rock artifacts, I'd get financial compensation. These are priceless and deserve to be preserved where everyone can see them. The HOF would be perfect.

We use to go the The Haight. Johhny, the artist would simply take posters off the poles. Still has them. Hundreds. Like these, Grateful Dead with skull and roses, etc. We (Jay, next to me now) saw Hendrix Mayhal and King.

Bill Graham would go through San Francisco and staple the gig posters on poles. On his way back he saw most of them were gone! So he reached out to shop and store owners. Display the poster for a week, then keep the poster. They knew they were on to something even then. And probably the reason some mint ,1st editions turn up at auction.

They used to cost 5 dollars in the 60s. Id hate to get rid of them, but for 30 grand Id do it. I would keep the eyeball though, and have it framed in an ornate gold colored frame, then get a couple of real good ounces and a real nice pipe at a tobacconist shop and just chill around the house with the dough in a big bowl and later satisfy the munchies with some fine french food.
